I've often wondered about that one too. I imagine when they want to look behind them they just shut their eyes and shift their face to the other end by force of will... You can't help but think Boco, Bear and Daisy have the same trait...
I uses to think that the engines had two faces because when the engines are going downhill, the face looks out for them. Also I used to think that the faces had a mind of their own and that the engines could talk to them.
"Twice that patch-of-old-ruin's speed in perfect safety." Like heck that "super-heated," violent, violet-colored, not-so-gentleman could do that, and for him to DENY he's even taking risks? Gimme a break, Harry, my boy!
I have made an observation. In the beginning, the narrator says that Donald brought Culdee home. But if you look closley at "Donald", look at his tender. The number says 10. So, the engine in the illustration is Douglas.
@@liamwatson5125 Edward was still blue in the Railway Series too I don't know why they decided to change their colours when they made the TV Adaptations It's kind of like in the original version of Edward, Gordon & Henry at the end of the book Henry also gets painted blue but at the end of the episode made for TV it just has the three of them going back to the sheds
That shot of Culdee out in the countryside with the truck on his way get Lord Harry is one of my all time favorite illustrations in the OG RWS books
"Danger Points" is one of my favorite railway series stories. :)
Lord Harry is one reckless Mountain Engine. At least he derailed, but he didn't tumble downhill and end up in pieces like Godred.
But Culdee then told him the story of godred in the following story.
"But Culdee made that stor--"
"Ssh! Duncan doesn't need to know."
Lord Harry is a ''Superheat'' Design, which are more powerful than the first 5 on this railway the superheats are: Lord Harry,#6,Alaric,7#,Eric#8
I love the illustration at 3:23.

Love this story
"Wilfred, who is this wreck?"
-Culdee
It’s lord Harry, didn’t you know?
It looks like old Harry, it's fat as old Harry, but of course it can't be old Harry.
@alfa alvisena Why ever not?
“You see, Old Harry’s an up-to-date engine. He can go twice our speed in perfect safety.”
I've often wondered about that one too. I imagine when they want to look behind them they just shut their eyes and shift their face to the other end by force of will... You can't help but think Boco, Bear and Daisy have the same trait...
Imagine blinking and suddenly seeing behind you.
Toby too
@@XYZ_is_taken I never thought of it like that. But that makes more sense. They close their eyes and the face in the back opens

4:34-4:39 No, manager, YOU know they are NOT tales!! There's no such thing! They are TRUTHS!!!!! And YOU KNOW it!!!!!!!!!
Danger Points = James in a Mess

1:21 I'LL DO YOU A FAVOR: WHY IS LORD HARRY?
I have made an observation. In the beginning, the narrator says that Donald brought Culdee home. But if you look closley at "Donald", look at his tender. The number says 10. So, the engine in the illustration is Douglas.
That is Douglas!
Anyone else notice the similarities between this story and James in a mess?
“That’s James/It’s Lord-Harry, didn’t you know?”
At least James didn't get called fat, even though he'd actually insulted Toby's appearance.
I like the part when we hear a steam whistle. It reminds me of the steam engines of Poland.
DUK that Culdee is based on Snowdon Since Hes named after the railway.
“ mom can we have dirty objects? “
“ no , we have dirty objects at home “
Dirty objects at home :
Even the Troublesome Trucks shift their faces at each end. Strange isn't it? LOL
Even Mighty Mac does the same thing.
I like to think that it's another character, not named or anything, it's just kinda there...
Or she just shuts her eyes and shifts her face to the other end by force of will. You never see both at once at any rate.
That kinda gives me chills..
Cool story.
i think this should have been taking place in season 21
4:30-4:59
Manager = God
Trains = People
Harder than you think
They're to look down the other way as the engine and the coach go down the mountain.
That's what I've been thinking!
Cast
Sir Handel as Culdee the Mountain Engine
my only question is what is with the faces oon the back the engines
lol this is like Dirty Objects
Why were these never adapted for television?
Too expensive.
@@christopherwall2121but making two whole models of Hank who only appears in one episode isn’t?
Godred and Lord Harry are my favoroites
Yeah!
Why does culdee have two faces?
So he can see while going down the mountain
Donald? That’s Edward.
No it's Donald
