Hi@@christiangrendel9893 - I have been to many parts of Canada. All really great. For such a small Province, Nova Scotia is very diverse in its landscape. Beautiful coastlines from dramatic rocky bluffs to white sand beaches that stretch on for miles, lush green farmlands producing lots of table crops, orchards, and also grapes and hops which produces good wines and great beers. Further east are the highlands which look a lot like Scotland and guess who settled there - the Scots. They even distill whiskey there. I love Nova Scotia, I have been visiting during the summers with my family since I was a kid, I remember seeing Foxes and Moose, and trying to catch tiny little blue and purple butterflies at our cottage by the sea! As an Adult ive been back a few times also to visit my friend while she was attending Dalhousie. I may be a wimp being from BC when it comes to the cold, but I would love to live in Nova Scotia, it has a special place in my heart, I hope my life will bring me there someday :) PS I totally went to see the cannon being fired as a kid too!!
Hi Stephanie Anne. Nova Scotia is actually the warmest on average Province in Canada. Nova Scotia is surrounded by the ocean thus moderating the climate somewhat. If you live in BC other than in the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island you would find Nova Scotia's winters easy. The damp cold in the Lower Mainland can often feel worse than eastern winters. Daytime winter temperatures average around 0C or a little better.
@@EdinburghFive Hey thanks for the info! I do live in the lower mainland, but I had no idea that Nova Scotia was on average the warmest province!!! Thanks for telling me that! 0C is not bad at all :D
When I was hiking in meat cove I was told the cape st lawrence trail will be repaved or redesigned, how is going now. I will go back after virus crisis for sure..I and my family enjoyed the days in NS so much..
I've been there on thanksgiving before last year, it was unpaved. The most beautiful and colorful scenes in Cape Breton comes between 10-15 October every year.
My husband just got back from a short visit to see the town where the "Jesse Stone" movies were made, mainly Lunenberg. He really enjoyed himself and found the people quite warm, the seafood quite amazing, and the area quite beautiful. Finances permitting, it looks like our whole family would love to go there. They should definitely fix the "Cat" though. He said the worst part of the trip was the boat ride as one engine is down and the trip took 7 hours, as opposed to the 5.5 it should take. At any rate, it appears there is plenty to do and see, and I agree that this video makes a convincing argument to go there. My first stop would be the Raft ride, WOW, how cool is that?
haha yes, the rafting is fun and I'd love to go back in August when the water is warming the rapids more intense. Was he visiting from NFLD? Is that the boat ride you're talking about?
Lovely video, but I was waiting for and surprised you didn't make it up to the Annapolis Valley....Annapolis Royal was the first settled area of Canada and the whole valley is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe you will get a chance to see this area another time!
I've lived in N.S for 17 years, if you visit, check out Fort York, I think its called "York-redoubt" or something, that's a cool spot to explore. Halifax is a pretty city to walk around at any time, For food, you absolutely must visit Mic Mac Bar and Grill in Dartmouth N.S. It's a family restaurant, great food and service, be warned, its usually busy, for good reason tho. Peggy's Cove is pretty, but its a tourist hot-spot. If you have a vehicle, drive the coastal roads in any direction, they usually go through fishing towns, and are curvy, and scenic for hours.
You're not wrong about just scratching the surface. :) I'm not blaming you. I've lived on Cape Breton for almost 40 years and I've barely seen everything this place holds. Cape Breton alone has more lakes than most US states, is full of wild life, beaches, camp sites, cliffs, caves, museums (Louisburg which is the partial reaction of the old fort, the miners museum where you can actually go into the mine, etc). My suggestion for your next trip is aim to come early to mid November and really see the fall colors and spend a week exploring Cape Breton specifically. You won't be disappointed.
We actually came this year mid-October and timed it perfectly for the fall colours. That video will be out soon! :) However, I've noticed most things close after October 15th and as early as mid September in Annapolis regon so fall colours can be a challenge for tourists
@@MustDoCanada Cape Breton is a little different. Some resturants close at the end of october, but some are open year round. We have ski hills and the like up here so tourism is more of a year round thing up here than down there. They usually close then because the thrust of their tourist season is the harvest and fall colors.
Must Do Canada currently my wife and I we live in Brazil and we want to try something new so I'll study in Halifax.
I think we would too. Love the east coast vibe.
@@102483989 - You live in a lovely area.
@@EdinburghFive It is beautiful here !
ya the rafting was pretty amazing
and very cold!
@@MustDoCanada lol that's why I did it summer
When I was hiking in meat cove I was told the cape st lawrence trail will be repaved or redesigned, how is going now. I will go back after virus crisis for sure..I and my family enjoyed the days in NS so much..
hmmm, we're not sure. Where's meat cove?
@@MustDoCanada At northeast corner of cape breton..
@@MustDoCanada ruclips.net/video/LWqHh6km8Kw/видео.html
I've been there on thanksgiving before last year, it was unpaved. The most beautiful and colorful scenes in Cape Breton comes between 10-15 October every year.
@@czq6261 oh awesome. We'd love to go back in the fall and see the colours. Must be quite the sight!
Fantastic video guys! Beautiful shots, engaging information, and very well produced!
Thanks so much for the kind words!
I’d love to get there. Since I come to Canada, I’ve just travelled only in Ontario.
The CAT is the ferry from Maine, it goes to Yarmouth, NS.
cool video and really well put together! makes me want to go back to navo scotia now lol
haha Thanks.... We just left and would love to go back :)
Lovely video, but I was waiting for and surprised you didn't make it up to the Annapolis Valley....Annapolis Royal was the first settled area of Canada and the whole valley is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe you will get a chance to see this area another time!
When you come depends on what you want to do. Tourist season is late May to early October although outside of that you can risk rain easily
Yes, we can't wait to go back. We'll try that restaurant for sure!
Gracias por compartir con nosotros. I have now subscribed and will be watching more of your videos. 👍🏼 👍🏼
Muchas gracias !
Im from syria i live in Dartmouth like nova scotia love canada
Very cool! Must be quite the change :)
cool
Welcome. Glad your here
You're not wrong about just scratching the surface.
What amazing video! This video made me cry, because my wife and I intend to live in Halifax even this year! This is really an inspiration!
Wow, very cool! Where are you moving from?
Must Do Canada currently my wife and I we live in Brazil and we want to try something new so I'll study in Halifax. Actually we are deciding between Halifax and Kitchener (Ontario) near from Toronto, but everybody has something amazing to talk about Halifax, amazing views, the most friendly people from Canada, giant lobster! Haha
Now I'm gonna watch your other videos o/
haha Yeah, I've read a few stories of people from Brazil in Halifax or nearby New Brunswick. Was wondering as I live in the West (Alberta), which is normally known for immigration due to the oil jobs. Wondering what the jobs are like in Halifax... But yes, Toronto and Ontario is the massive area so Halifax would have more of a small-town charm. Newfoundland is also incredibly friendly. We love Halifax though and have definately considered moving there....
Must Do Canada Have you really considered moving there? Glad to hear it from you. Nowadays I live in a small City, 70k habitants here so I think I'll feel like home in Halifax. Looking forward to arrive there!
we have yeah. My dad is from Newfoundland so we always considered moving East. It's mainly hard to leave Calgary because we have the Rocky Mountains beside us. Without those, we'd be gone already haha. Yeah, in that case, Halifax will seem better. Toronto alone is like 6 million
Nova Scotia seems to be very beautiful and I would love to live there one day. Thank you for uploading this video :)
It is! We've been considering living there too. Hard to leave Calgary just because of the mountains. Are you in Canada now?
@Must Do Canada unfortunately not because I first have to finish the last year of college. But I am looking forward to leaving Germany :)
@@lilly2166 Oh cool! You live in Germany? We have some friends in Berlin. Visited them in 2015 but would love to spend more time there
See you soon, Nova Scotia!
I just love Halifax. Waiting for my PR
Best of luck jnab
stay home
I live in Nova Scotia.
I love it.
Going to be going to Nova Scotia for my honeymoon in July. I can't wait to get out there and explore!
Congrats! You'll love it :) So different than the west
Thank u! I'm looking forward to going. Gonna be a long trip, starting at 6am from Prince George, BC, and getting to the airport in NS at 8:20pm same day 😥😥
haha yeah big country eh!
Must Do Canada Oh yeah! Big country, different time zones. Exhausting but worth it, depending where u're going
i love my province!
I'm from there (lunenburg) but I live in England and I miss it more than words can describe :(
What brought you over therE?
@@MustDoCanada my dad is from England so we live there but I'm hoping to finish high school in Canada
In the video at 5:08 that rock formation over the lady's shoulder is called Anthony's Nose. I grew up on a farm on the other side of the river from that formation and I watched those boats going up the river back in the 90's. I thought they were crazy but now that i'm moving back to Nova Scotia in 2 weeks can't wait to try it out.
You guys should have gone to digby during the scallop days!!
It’s so fun there
You can go to Long Island and see the balancing rock!
I’m saying all this cause my moms from there
That sounds cool, but we needed a reason to come back :)
One Thing you forgeth!!!! To go for a concert from, Terra Spencer, the storyteller from Nova Scotia
Next visit!! Thanks
I'd love to explore Nova Scotia - I live in Scotland and heard (and now see) that there are a lot of similarities! Only been to BC/Alberta and Ontario before - East Coast is waiting!!!
Very cool! Nova Scotia means New Scotland from what we were told. You'd likely love Newfoundland as well, although the entire East Coast is great. I haven't been to Scotland before but hope to go someday soon! We're from Alberta so we know that province well! That video will be out in October...
+Must Do Canada we should do an exchange :) Looking forward to the Alberta video - made some amazing memories there!!
You missed my favourite part of Nova Scotia... The Annapolis Valley!! Great film!
Annapolis Valley is amazing
This video makes me want to visit. Very Beautiful with a lot of history.
