I had the same issue re the remote not working. I opened thr battery compartment up and a small part of the factory paper was sitting between the battery and the terminal. The paper strip they put in to stop it working in transit. I pulled that out and the remote was already paired

It took me ages to work out how to open the remote control as paper was stuck in there, then I had issues with connecting the remote and then it also took me ages to get around the sound thing because it kept telling me to link speakers I didn’t have. Managed to get it to work eventually, but I feel like I’ve aged into an elderly woman just from the whole process

Despite what you say Mr Rye, it really ISN'T as easy or intuitive as you make out. I had a real struggle with my set-up and you have missed out the most CRUCIAL bit !!! How do you set up the password etc., BEFORE the remote has been linked to the Puck? Having overcome that eventually by managing to link the remote first, before the set-up completed, people need to know that you have to give a good long press on the buttons on the remote. On mine, there was no little LED light I could see that told me the signal from the remote was being read by the puck, so I had to reset the remote numerous times. I got to the point where the screen message said somethying like "Your Remote is now linked" but try as I might, pressing the Continue button made no difference. I got there in the end after a lot of frustration. Going through the various sections of the Home screen I looked for RUclips (which I use the most on my PC). Having selected RUclips on the tv, the screen went blank. So far, I haven't found a way to make this work. And I shouldn't have to mess about like this. IT SHOULD WORK and gives a poor impression to a new customer. I suggest you re-make this video, or make a new one which covers the various difficulties.

Hi I am struggling to swap hdmi input from the Sky glass to my Xbox. I have looked on the apps and inputs section and have found no way to change from my Sky Glass hdmi to Xbox hdmi. Does anyone know how i can fix this?
Does this over Recording Features & how many individual Users can this Setup have in a large House / Apartment. I have a SkyQ in the Den & individual Sky HD Boxes with Harddrives in the other Bed Rooms - each with their own User / CARD. Since the Wife wants to record different Things versus the Teenage Daughter versus the Teenage Son versus the Little Boy. Does the new Stream Box also have all the FreeView Channels like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, etc.? And how does it look like with Streaming Content like, NetFlix, Paramount Plus, Disney Plus etc OR has Sky Stream also an AppleTV App, so I can run everything off a single Box?
I'm into day 5 of trying to install Sky Stream. i have the router, wifi and Sky Stream box (aka 'puck') all set up but i cannot get the router to work after one hour phone sessions with Sky Help in India very pleasant people but of no use to me. Sky sent a replacement remote control which doesnt work. Sky Help due to call me again today but if that doesn't work i'm going back to Virgin. Anyone else having same problem and have a solution other than 'bin it!'??

Unfortunately this demo leaves out the most important bit - how to connect to the tv! This caused me so much headache that I rang Sky to cancel. Two phone calls later and I finally got it but with frustration at boiling point at that stage, I’m cancelling. I don’t have time to faff around with it - instructions should have been on the box.
Are sky going to remove ads from on demand content so I can watch in peace and what I'm paying for. Feeling a little ripped off being forced to see ads and having to fast forward to skip is a joke!
My 1st question is 1. Are FTA channels available yes or no 2. How much delay is it on Sky stream compared to satellite? 3. How fast internet speed is required? Let me know. If it is to much delay, i will stay with Sky Q
If you could fix all the bugs that would be ideal, to name 3:- Audio turning off when audio codec changes Subtitles don’t work Unit turns off when paused on sky channels! Bonkers that you can’t get the basics right! Will be returning to sky q shortly, all support do is try to get you to factory reset the unit!
Utter garbage, how can you connect to the internet prior to pairing your remote? I am currently trying to install a replacement puck as the first one got too hot and kept switching off. Avoid this product like the plague.

Sky glass is absolutely terrible £1300 and sky ripped up my agreement as I’m Muslim and made me pay in one week they accused me of being an extremist because I changed my name , Cassius clay 🥊 changed his name , ignorant small minded bunch of bigots and for this much I could of got an OLED and for gaming it’s terrible , the volume control never worked right the software is terrible and the picture is bad and theHDR on the hdmi doesn’t work and the input lag is terrible it’s just so bad in every way except maybe the speakers and sound , oh and it developed light bleed after four weeks Also wouldn’t help me even tho I’m disabled they sent paramedics to my house after wasting my whole Saturday rather than technical fault finding and helping me

To be honest it's not that expensive plus the difference is you actually own skystream unlike sky q where you don't own the box
