The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY. Going Fast In A 1930s Powerboat.

In this episode of Cruising Off Duty, we continue our weekend in Clayton NY by visiting the Antique Boat Museum. We tour the houseboat the George Boldt lived in while overseeing the construction of his Castle on Heart Island in 1903 and we get to go fast ride in a 1930's designed powerboat through the 1000 Islands.
Clayton NY is one of our favourite towns to visit in the 1000 Islands. It is clean. Has plenty of Shops, Bars and Restaurants to visit and it has the renowned Antique Boat Museum. So, if you are a boater in the area or are within driving distance, Clayton NY is well worth the visit.

Back in the day. I’ll have to show this episode to my uncle he worked for Chrysler outboards as a mechanical engineer and raced midget boats when he was younger. Don’t think I used the correct name; basically a piece of plywood with an engine on the back I think it was back in the fifties or early sixties

you should go for the Leopard 45 :-) I know you are set on a different one, but our L45 launch date is mid september and departure around beginning november...we cannot wait. we in the meantime, are in the same boat as you ;-)
