I appreciate you sharing your successes and more importantly your failures. I know you don’t do this anymore but you content helps open my eyes to the pitfalls.
Mahalo Nui for the video...!!! My wife and I are growing mushrooms & micro-greens as an experiment for now to see if its something we would like to do commercially... YOU ROCK...!!!
Your videos are always worth many thumbs up!!! but youtube only allows one :( your videos are always so helpful, precise, informative and never boring. Thanks again for sharing in such a passionate and approachable way. And being so authentic...
Thank you. Impressive in so many ways. What would you tell a fellow high level finance professional the pros and cons of making the switch? In totality. Financially. Mentally. Spiritually. Reality. etc.
THANKS jJEWELL YOUR VIDEOS ARE VERY PRECIOUS TO ME, i AM LEARNING A LOT WITH YOU. KEEP ON DOING THE BEAUTIFUL WORK WE MIGHT MEET ONE DAY, YOU NEVER KNOW.
Thanks for the great video! The rough estimate for chefs is a great start for me. Since I'm the only grower in my area i may try a little higher for i assume if they do buy from me theyll buy smaller quantities at first. Thanks again!
Hello Jewell !!! Hope you have taken a few minutes to check into structured water? I know it’s a little more cost but I think you will thank me once you start using it. Additionally for your health too. Love your vids, really enjoy you and your insights, experiences cheers !!!!!!
Thanks for all your videos Jewell! What types of mushrooms do you see in depend to the type of restaurants? What’s the trend like? I’m from Los Angeles California and there’s literally 100s of restaurants.
I love your videos .. thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience, I super appreciate it. ..and fyi .. you are so so cute 😍😍😍😍😍
Hello jewll, my name is Fernando, im from south texas....trying to find soybean hull pellets. No luck. Was wondering if you can maybe help me with your connect. Or maybe if you can even provide that for me. Big fan btw. Your videos are super helpful. Hope to hear form you soon. :)
is it hard to gain clients/ chefs? I am starting a grow mainly as a hobby at first. my goal is to make enough to quit my job and do it full time. I live in the Seattle area so I'm assuming the market is flooded and I'm not a salesman. on the flip side there is a million restaurants that do local produce. basically what do you think of my odds?
also thinking of doing medicinals, cause you can dry them, and tincture them, and charge way more. I take some and they are expensive and usually nothing but mycelium and substrate .
I would listen to curtis stone from urban farmer and apply his marketing skills he uses for his fruits and veggies but apply it to mushrooms. The man makes $100k off 3 acres, but he's raising normal stuff like tomatoes but he kills it at the farmers market
Jesse Knox ...I think it'll have to be a leap of faith type of thing...just grow the best product I can and hope the mushrooms will speak for themselves.... There is a ton of farmers markets here probably one for every day of the week.
here in denver ......two words...HAZEL DELL.....2500000 a yr giant grower......they are at every farmers market with every type of mushroom at 10 bucks(best quality ive ever seen!) ...and they own whole food's market.

She out of business 3 months ago....
Your poor hepa in the background looks like it has a boo boo
Did she go out of business?
Yep
10 dollars a pound? Way to cheap? Lol.
How much would you charge for blue meanies! 😂🔪
Depends on which one you mean? There is a Paneolous and a Cubensis. Cubes $5 a gram, Pans $7-$10. Pans aren't really worth the trouble.
It's "cents" not "cent"...just saying!
