সমরাস্ত্র ক্রয়ে বিলম্বঃ পর্দার আড়ালে ঘটছে কি? WHY Bangladesh Delayed Military Modernization?

Major weapons purchase of the Bangladesh Armed Forces has been stopped or delayed! Likely Bangladesh Air Force’s MRCA program under which 12-16 fourth generation multirole fighter jets meant to be purchased has been delayed for 3 times back-to-back. Bangladesh Navy’s multirole frigate building program saw several setbacks after 2017! Bangladesh Army wanted to achieve minimum deterrence through purchasing some battlefield range ballistic missiles, which has been shelved for unknown period!
Bangladesh Army also sought to acquire 2 more brand new attack submarines from reliable source. Purchase of new submarines is now off the table! So, basically what’s happening behind the curtain? Why country’s political realm ignoring Bangladesh’s dire needs of modern weaponry?
