love the way you explain the basic , awesome stuff !! keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for explaining this in a way that it's easily understood 😊👍
Thank you so much Walker for explaining every idea in a detailed way. These videos are bible for any rookie venturing into a digital factory ecosystem. Hats off !!!
Glad it was helpful!
A great and pedagogical video. Thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it!
great video!
Thank you 🙏
Solution. Introducing, BigAssWellThoughtOutDB, a postgres fork, that’ll be 10k annually.
Thank you for sharing!
I agree that the largest challenge to industry 4.0 is unifying the data in a defined information model and giving it context, which will then enable analytics
We couldn't have said it better ourselves Matthew!
Good point. i would differ with you about the greatest challenges involving context, however; in my opinion the greatest challenge to the system is standardized coding of the correct context into the OS. As one can imagine , the concepts of context and nuance butt heads majorly over effective bandwidth usage and the sheer difference in database size requirements vis a vis software bloat incipient upon developing subcategories that will continue to develop after these regimens are instituted, leading to further expansion of bandwidth requirements ad infinitum. Of course IA OS s will evolve, but the limitations placed upon us as a species by the gargantuan amount of data we don't know yet, and our leniency with cutting corners to save a buck ensure that evolution of IoT control and communication will develop at " the speed of profit."
Thank you sir.. great help..carry on the path
Thank you, Sagar!
I like the way you explain the topic.
Thank you!
Thx for sharing knowledge. Great channel.
Our pleasure, Sara! Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for sharing your perspective on IIoT architecture. That integration and (namespace) unification among existing systems and devices is one of the things that makes the difference between IIoT and a non-industrial IoT application. In the case where there is no existing IIoT infrastructure (sensors, PLCs, Fieldbuses), What would be your approach for designing and implementing an IIoT system, bottom-up or top-down?
Thank you and I do enjoy your videos. The question that I have other than showing the architecture of the IIOT, what exactly are the full steps in details to migrate an old ver 3.0 to v4.0 slowly? How to prioritize the steps to reach the ultimate goal? Could you shed more details on moving and connecting the old v 3.0 legacy system to v4.0 in details with examples please?
Thanks so much for the comment! We will be going over this topic more. We are also offering the Mentorship program that we are still designing the course content but we appreciate your feedback

Thanks for developing these contents! :)
Interesting video, especially unified namespace explanation, thanks!
Thank you Ihor!
Thanks, Walker, for this great explanation but I need to ask if it is a step backward if I still build the SCADA system for a new customer?
Depends, does the SCADA support open iiot protocols? Then no.
When selecting a target for a PoC, if the plant-level is too big of a target for the budget I have, is it OK to reduce the scope of the PoC by "walking" down the ISA-95 structure until the scope adjusts to my budget? In other words... If a PoC for the plant is too expensive, is it OK to target an Area of the plant, or a Line, or a Cell?
Is there a level where it becomes counterproductive because it is too small of a scope for the PoC? Hope the question makes sense.
Thank you for the great content!
Thanks Walker,.
Can you explain Digital Twin and IIOT in Infrastructure bussiness, such as integration with BIM!
Thank you! We are adding this to our video topics.
Thank you for this content! Can I know what are the references for this information, cuz I want to mention it in my assignment...
Awesome way to put up iiot concept. Could you please say how we can do it on cloud with visualisation
Doesn't the broker set itself up as a single point of failure? How can we set up a redundant broker?
Yes. Very easily by putting in the IP address and publishing the Namespace
Is there any gateway hardware required to connect a AB PLC to a MQTT broker ?
Hey thanks for the video, pretty intersting stuff
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great explanation! this is in one facility, will it be more challenging when we scale it up in multi location operation? or just a copy paste process? Thank you
It get's easier with scale :) Because everything is edge-driven
please give a comparison between MES and MOM(Manufacturing Operation Managemen).
Great question! We added it to our video topics!
awesome
Good stuff. are there any mature products for namespace ?
Ignition or FactoryStudio
Thanks Walker. I’m a systems integrator and I specialize in layers 1 PLCs and layer 2 SCADA. I scratch the surface in the others. How can I get to the level of bringing all this together? One of my clients is a huge client and they want to go this direction.
Hey John, I’d recommend you take a look at investing in our mastermind program. That will teach you to become solutions architect and help you become successful with helping your clients on this journey. www.iiot.university/digital-mastermind
@@4.0Solutions thank you
Great teacher, thank you.
You are welcome!
thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for this video. Can you please tell me the technology/solution used to implement unified namespace concept? PTC TWX allows you to do that?
Hi Divyadeep! Take a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/FnfmpvQOccM/видео.html
Great video Walker. What is the dashboard video you mentioned at 10:28?
Here you go Olcay! ruclips.net/video/TeP0TewlFwk/видео.html
This is powerful...
Thank you;
you look like my ideal friend i don't have
Walker will be your friend! 🙏
