Even at the risk of the prosecutor manipulating you to make you look suspicious. The jury would be studying your body language, hesitation, tone and answers while inferring conclusions that could impact their perception of you negatively. You wouldn't be in control of the conversation.

If you get up there, the prosecutor is trying to make you look guilty. They are trained in using psychological tricks and manipulative tactics.. They are trained to ask the right questions. They're not trying to be fair with you. They believe you're guilty and they want the jury to arrive at the same conclusion.

From what I heard, Meg's homegirl had the gun, and was going crazy with it and Tory grabbed the gun and it went off and the girls threw Tory under the bus.
I honestly think because Meg is not the typical victim in this situation. She overly instigated a situation that got her shot. She also lied during the whole process which made it hard for ppl to believe her. The fight with Kelsey that she never admitted, sleeping with Tory behind her friend back... She was definitely the victim but also her character is questionable at the same time.

But it’s all good, since that strategy worked so well for Tory, right? If you’re innocent and telling the truth, the best option is always to take the stand cause it’s harder for the prosecution to trip you then it is for your lawyer to trip the liars making accusations against you.

The difference between Tory & all those other people who took the stand to defend themselves is , either; They shot someone in the act of self defense or They were completely 100% innocent. Lol, that doesn’t apply to Tory, he never said anything about him being in harms way or having to protect himself & the chances of Tory being innocent are 50/50, it’s not a slam dunk case where everyone knows he’s innocent.
