Humf finds a special stick in the park and brings it home. Wallace comes to play and steps on Humf’s stick and it breaks. Wallace tries to fix the stick, but it isn’t easy and Humf is sad. Then Humf realises that Wallace is sad too and decides that two sticks might be better than one after all!
Uncle Hairy and his girlfriend Flora take Humf, Wallace and Loon to the cinema. Wallace is the only one who has been to the cinema before and he remembers that you get to eat popcorn. But it’s not easy to eat popcorn without spilling it and watch a movie at the same time
Humf has a little dog on wheels that he can pull along on a string. It is a toy that he has had since he was a baby. But when he takes it to the park, Loon calls it a baby toy and Humf is embarrassed. So he decides to leave it in the park and then wishes that he hadn’t. He still likes his dog on wheels.
Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and purple and cuddly. At three years old Humf is full of wonder at the world, and is always eager to explore the new things he sees around him. Humf knows what the questions are, even if the answers take a little longer to find.
