      Happy holidays to you as well Raymond. Yes, this was one of the best games the Isles have played in a long time. Not sure they could play much better. But can they do it consistently? If they can, they could string some wins together. Thanks for the comment and LGI.

    Nice win for Isles in Toronto, hope they can keep playing like that.
    Yes Isaiah George looked great and Congratulations on his 1st NHL goal.

      Merry xmas and Happy New Year to you as well, Robert. I love the way the Isles played in Toronto. Can they sustain that? I hope so. I was so happy for George and the way he has played. And yeah, as they say, winning is a great deodorant. Hope the team can get on a bit of a roll. Thanks for the comment and LGI.

    They are better than at least half of the division when they play like they're capable of. Perhaps the injuries did stifle them but they have to beat the Sabres tonight and this game terrifies me..

      You're not alone, veritasinvicta. The game concerns a lot of fans who often have seen this team play down to competition. Thanks for the comment and LGI.

    Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islanders played a full solid 60 minutes and won. WELCOME BACK, ANTHONY DUCLAIR, you were sorely missed. Maxim Tsyplakov scored the first goal, and it was downhill from there for the Maple 🍁. Congratulations to Isiah George for scoring his1st NHL goal. Patrick Roy was able to roll with the lines. They stayed out of the penalty box. Patrick Roy shuffled his lines like a deck of cards with excellent results. Bo Horvat scored his 250th career goal. Isiah George's goal was not only the GW goal, but he scored it in front of his hometown fans. Barzy had 5 shots on goal. Hero, Bo Horvat for 3 points, Isiah George for his first goal and the GW goal. 🐐, 2 defensemen who were a -3. Tonight, the Islanders play Buffalo at UBS Arena. The Sabres don't have a French Connection type line, and their specialty teams are just as bad as the Islanders. HAPPY 🎂, STEFAN PERSSON. He was part of THE CORE OF THE FOUR. He scared a goal and 2 assists in a win against the then MN North 🌟. Hear from you later, Gil, but before I go ,let me add this. It was on this 🌙 that Trots went wild against the dreaded Rangers, Persson got the GW goal, the only goal that Trots had nothing to do with. Speaking of Trots, as we Islander fans know, he was on ☁️ 9 not only on the ice but especially off of it, too. His wife had given birth to their first child, Bryan Jr., whose son Parker looks like he's going to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. He was also on the Superstars on ABC'S Wide World Of Sports, the 2nd Islander to appear on the show, Denis Potvin being the 1st. Now, LET'S GO, ISLANDERS.

      I love the memories you share, Cindy. Superstars, wow. I hope the Isles can build on the win in Toronto. George scoring was a great thing to see. His first NHL goal was special at home. Thanks again and happy holidays, Cindy. Always great to hear from you and LGI.

    Good morning team! Gil, when I watched the Toronto game, I had a feeling the Isles were playing with a sense of urgency. That was long overdue, I think. Even though the Leafs were on a back to back, see what can happen when you score the first goal in a game. It's your team setting the pace, even if it is an away game. So happy to see the empty net goal go our way this time! They will have to show me they can play that way in more than just one game. Any team can have the hockey Gods look upon then for one game. Can we get back to .500 against Buffalo tonight? Get that first goal, and we'll see. Everyone, have a great day! Hopefully we're ready for the holidays. Enjoy the game tonight. See everyone again tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

      The team played with urgency and purpose and looked really good. I hope they can sustain it, that is the key to actual success. Buffalo has lost 13 straight. The Isles cannot afford to take them lightly. I hope that happens and we get back to .500. Have a merry xmas Tony and thanks as always for commenting and LGI.

    Happy Chanukah* 🕎 Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year Gil. I agree with 100% of everything you said on today’s show. Horvat is playing out of his mind! I’m so happy for Isaiah George, his smile was contagious and what I appreciated? There was no showboating after he scored. (I shouldn’t expect anything less. It’s only forwards that make fools of themselves after they score) Lol, I’m kidding (kinda) lol The way his teammates reacted when he scored? Tells me he’s extremely well-liked in the dressing room and the way his coaches were truly happy for him. Tells me that they know they’ve got a really good young player and the kid is coachable. It’s time to start talking about how excellent Tsyplakov has been playing and now his scoring is starting to pick up. In my opinion, it tells me he’s adjusted to playing on the smaller sheet now that his scoring has picked up (It’s not as easy of an adjustment as people think) It took Sorokin a good month or so before he adjusted the the smaller sheet of ice. Yup, I think we are lucky to have Romanov, Sorokin and Varlamov who made Tsyplakov choose the NY Islanders and I do believe we found an excellent player still in his prime.

      Tsyplakov was a great pickup. A shrewd move by Lou and a great value at $1 million for the season. I get the feeling he'll have a stronger second half to the season than the first. Thanks for the comment, Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas to you and yours Ken. Always great to hear from you and LGI

    WOW isles get fired up for pj judas laffs. Offense comes to life with 13, 11 back. Yet still only isles THIRD convincing W on the season even with 30 .897 sv. % and 3 -3 dragging 6 down with him. No blown leads or pk breakdowns. If this team can go on a run? Who knows? Big problems remain. Still in those dangerous are we aren't we playoff team should isles sell add waters. Just be glad sabres suck and wings who got swept up by habs reel behind isles. And 24 a +5-wtf?

    • @LockedOnIslanders
      @LockedOnIslanders  9 дней назад

      Yeah, I was surprised Mayfield was a plus-five. The problems do remain and I think this is a fringe playoff team still. They could still make it but they'd be out in a hurry if they do. And that's the ceiling for this team. Thanks for the comment, Steven. We'll see if they can play well tonight for 2 games in a row. Happy holidays and LGI.

    Of course the question is can they sustain this level? They will have to bust it to what has Butchie been preaching? You don’t have to hit them, just bump them or stand in front of them so they have to go around you. Little things like that…make the last two spots again. Now Ottawa will be a problem going forward. Devils took care of the Penguins and the Canes dumped the Rangers. Isles better not let up tonight. Stay out of the box. 5-5 this team can win unlike the Rangers who can’t figure out how to win 5 on 5. So they will be battling the Rangers, Ottawa and The Penguins for that last playoff spot to prob play the Panthers. Also start winning at home! You just beat Toronto who had a 14-4 home record. Best in the East by far. You need that kind of home cooking…LGI!

    • @LockedOnIslanders
      @LockedOnIslanders  9 дней назад

      They cannot let up against Buffalo. This team typically has done that in the past. They need to stay out of the box and continue to go to the net. Thanks for the comment, Alex. Wishing you all the best this holiday season and LGI.

    Yes I agree great win well played "BUT" when oh when are we going to admit that Adam Pellech is the worst defenseman not just on the Islanders but the league. He was on for all three goals against he is making Pulloch look bad. This has been for the last two years he is terrible needs to be either woken up or traded. The league knows to pressure him and he will cough it up or make a bad decision with the puck. I think its time for him to go. Gil have a Happy and safe Holiday and the same to your family.
