So I'm Canadian. I also coach kids (14-18 year old) in sports. Last week the topic of politics came up. Everyone of them burst out at exactly how deranged and loonie tunes Trump is. Some were watching the debate in their social studies class and they actually asked to teacher to replay the "cats and dogs" part again because they could not believe that someone who is running for the greatest office in America would say that. Yeah a 14 year old from Canada can recognize how deranged Trump is but half of grown Americans can't see it. This is truly a sad moment in American history.

Also, I saw a program about how countries are facing these authoritarian tendencies and they said Canada will be facing this problem in not so many years ahead. Don’t remember all the percentages of people surveyed that think they would be better off with a new government system. Something to think about. Our situation sucks!!

I continue to feel very sad for the people of Ohio. They could have elected Tim Ryan to fill one of their federal senate seats (a guy who will ACTUALLY stand up for ALL of his constituents), but instead, they voted for J.D.
