"one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard"... I wonder if you ever thought you would say that about a song written and performed by a 14 year old. I know if someone told me years ago that someday my favorite singer of all time would be a 14 year old girl from Norway, I would have said they were crazy... but here we are. ....and she _is_ my favorite vocalist of all time... hands down. I have other favorites from years past, but they just don't come close to Angelina. And I agree completely... Live Angelina is the best Angelina... when you see her sing it, it always hits harder.
Rusty, I’ve said the same thing. She’s my absolute favourite. It shouldn’t be but I’ve accepted this and share her music as often as I can. The feedback has been exactly what I expected.

Angelina was asked when she was about 8 or 9 what/how she sings like she does, everyone asks that. But this particular response was what I felt the first time I heard her in 2015. She said "when I sing I go to another world" I knew from my first listen she could channel spirits, her I put a spell on you is the most glaring example. Not because of her incredible voice, but what she does with her hands and body, there's much we can't see on this realm, but it's there, and special people have the ability to tap into it😊

I think what you’re looking at is the blackness of the setting in her outfit and what the answer to that is the length of her legs that go on forever as does the rest of her body she’s tall and she’s slender and she’s classically gorgeous she sings beautifully and the studio background and her dress go along with the song and what the song means means to her means in general and one has to appreciate the difficulty she had in singing from what I understand the original singing of this song for her was so difficult they had to stop a number of times because she was crying don’t know if that’s true but it wouldn’t surprise me because one other time she dedicated this song to her grandfather and at the end she broke down. She is classically wonderful no matter what her voice her being her soul her body her hair she’s magnificent her face her magnificent eyes she’s just a thing of beauty that only God can create as well as that voice

He died with just my mom and I there. I had to be strong for my mom. I held my brothers hand and prayed. I told him he didn’t have to be strong anymore. I would take care of our mom. He took his last couple of breaths. I kissed his face as tears dropped from my eyes. Oh how I will miss my big brother. It was just me now left. I felt so scared as my mom was in her own months of passing. How would I make it all alone? My mom is so very sick now. I see her suffering but I know she’s scared of me being alone. I truly know that everyone will be waiting for me in heaven. In heaven I will never be alone. I look up in the sky and say I love ❤️ you to the moon 🌚 and back. This song makes me cry and cry. If anyone has felt loss . Please know other people are to. Maybe we all won’t be alone.

What I liked so much about the video, (other than Angelina’s outstanding performance) is it’s simplicity. It is free of the usual over-the-top visual production. It was shot in B&W, Angelina is dressed in black, standing on a small stage in a dark room, sparsely lit, accompanied by a cello and a piano, (both musicians were barely visible) and with the brightest light shining on Angelina’s beautiful face. This video reflects the minimalist, no nonsense and simple setting that we Angelina fans are accustomed to seeing her in. It gave a sense of intimacy between Angelina and us, her fans. I wonder if it was Angelina and her grandmother that chose this setting.
All black worked for Johnny Cash, and it works for Angelina, a tall, elegant, regal, statuesque, beautiful, woman/child. If Billie Eilish is watching Angelina sing this black and white masterpiece, she must be a little jealous, or perhaps alot jealous.
@@leebrn8588 I also think Angelina wore black for this performance since it is the traditional color worn by people that mourn the loss of their loved ones. I have a feeling that what you said about Billie Eilish applies to other artists that Angelina has covered, such as, Adell and Lana Del Rey.

This song really represents a year in which so many lives were lost due to the inconsequence of the human being. This music ends as many people's lives have ended, abruptly, without even being able to say goodbye. It may be a bit dramatic or absurd what I’m going to say but the world we live in right now doesn’t deserve people like Angelina’s soul, I'm thankful for discovering her because she makes me believe in the human being again. Everytime I listen to this song, can't help to cry. I lost my father 2 years ago and this makes me think of him. Anyone who has endured loss this song can be for you. This in studio version is nothing short of incredible. The emotional connection she has is insane.the power, the control, the runs, the breath control, omg so special. Her voice is hypnotic. She is so special. I truly believe she is a 😇 angel sent to us to get us through the virus and all these tuff times. Truly a beautiful soul.

After listening to the new version of Million Miles about 50 times, I understood why Angie composed it 3 times and made 3 releases: I was not satisfied. I explain: the first version musically is extraordinary, wonderful but Angelina is a musical narrator, she paints musical pictures (she is not just a singer) and I am sure that she did not find the narration in the first version. At the level of "musical painting" this version is an EPIC WORK OF MUSIC, the musical lines of the accompaniment fluctuate in the environment like "the spirit of the loved one", also note that the accompanying melodic lines "hit" in the expressions of the text "painful" and "diluted" in reflections. I also realized that voids are unison, that is, both Angie when singing respects the void of the lyrics (lost) as well as the accompaniment respects that void (lost) This musical work is worthy of a MASTER OF CLASSIC MUSIC OF THE 1700.

Fil, thanks for a wonderful reaction, again! Angelina is unique, she has become a full musician and this song is the most purifying song written this year. It allows you to cry for the lost loved ones if you need to and at the same time, it tells you they're never really gone.
Also, I agree about Angelina's classical beauty. And I may add her height at her age makes her almost regal. You would not miss her if she entered a room full of people.

So great to see Angelina sing live again, especially with this healing song in troubled times. The artwork she and grandma did for the original release was awesome, but this magnificent video is epic! I think this will rival her other B&W from years past. I'm so happy for her successes all these years, and I think she has found a great home at Republic for her talent. Her uncle Michael deserves a lot of credit too. One day I'll get my greatest wish, to see her sing in person. Angie’s fans will treasure this performance forever. And to Angelina I say, thank you so, so much for all the wonderful music you have given all of us over the years, and for your humanity for others less fortunate. It’s not just your voice Angelina, you truly are a “gift from the universe.”

My favorite song of 2020 is Angelina's Bohemian Rhapsody. This is where I first started my Angelina journey and have heard it 100s of times. 2020 started out fine. My second favorite song of 2020 is Million Miles. So, I get to both start and end this year on musical (and emotional) highpoints with Angelina. In these troubled times the lyrics, the melody and most importantly her amazing voice are an antidote for all the fear and negativity brought on by this pandemic. There are 4 things , non verbal gestures, that I feel add to Angelina’s ‘’attractiveness “. Angelina has a high level of grace and poise (@Qcucumber level) when performing and these 4 practices of hers ,I feel , just addd to that :
1. when she stands at the microphone she always has one or two hands on the stand , she’s really connecting herself to the sounds she’s sending out to us , it’s like an embrace that we see and feel .it also allows her to stand at her tallest , which is an impressive elegant stature in itself . 2. She gently sways from left to right , like a mesmerising rocking movement that is mildly hypnotic , it draws us in . 3. We now know that Angelina sings with her eyes closed for most of the song , she has since she was young . Early on we would see her eyes roll back when she would go to her special place , now, she prefers to close her eyes instead, and it does not worry us at all , we are drawn into watching her , and then when she briefly opens her eyes and looks at us , we feel honoured to be part of the performance . 4 her hand gestures.. we know exactly how she feels by the type of hand gesture, and here in the live performance , she has refined her gestures to a minimum, just ever so graceful , tender gestures.
All 4 actions she uses help create her perceived persona , that’s without even hearing her sing ... 💕💕💕💕💕

Your comments are always so right, and your description of Angelina being « classiquely beautiful » with the reference to Audrey Hepburn ( must see her cover of Moon River) cannot be more accurate...Love it. I am onboard with you all of the time.
We have similar thoughts about this one. When I saw it last week, I was immediately reminded of what a natural beauty Angelina is, and also thought the black and white helped to bring focus to that.
As to your favorite song mention, we are more or less thinking the same thing. I just phrase it a little differently: every song Angelina does has potential to become my favorite. I've found it impossible to pick a favorite from her inventory though, as most are so wonderful.
