As per the story goes, I have read it in my Tanak. First of all, I think that jealousy is evil in itself. 2nd, I believe the dreams Joseph had was a prophetic dream, but the brothers didn't see it as such because their jealousy was blinding them. 3rd. I think Joseph was strong in faith, in his love for others, and for HaShem. That's the reason why HaShem used this young man for this mission. HaShem knows His creation very well. HaShem knows who is capable of completing the missions. He plans ahead of time how His plans are going to develop and therefore creates a human being with the intent for His purpose. Joseph's brothers were blinded by jealousy to be able to see the future that would bring Joseph's dreams to a reality.
