Everyone's first elder scrolls game is the one they love the most. This one is mine. I know Morrowind is the better game, but my heart belongs to cyrodill. And playing it nowadays with an overhaul mod that fixes the scaled enemies is even better.
Paul-André Gonzalez Aldana Before Fallout 3 there was S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. A depressing rainy world after the explosion in the nuclear power plant of Chernobyl Ukraine. It's an RPG-FPS game and the atmosphere is fantastic, just like Fallout 3.
My first elder scrolls game :). Coming home from 8th grade playing this all day long. Now I'm 25 with the new Skyrim Remaster and it's amazing but still doesn't compare
i loved playing this game so much, it was a great game, i probably spent 12 hour shifts just playing this alone lol also i sent you a private message through youtube :)
yeh ive spent so much time on that game, the only other game ive spent that much time on is skyrim and dragon ball xenoverse, the message should be under the community section when you click onto creator studio as i sent it about 3 or 4 days ago
How Big is the Map? Time is a construct ; it is universal. Just because you don't see, feel, touch , or hear time that doesn't mean it's not real or somehow inert.
Hmmm, I thought Arena had the largest world. I've heard the game can generate a world so big that it can corrupt your savegame and crash :P Anyway, you are right about Daggerfall - the world is huge buti sm ostly randomly-generated hills with occasional doodads. It's an endless sea of monotony.
Arena's world map is unfair. I explain it in one of my videos. When you leave a city you can walk for hours, look on your local map and realize you are still near the same city. the world getsprocedural generated and you see teh same trees over and over again. You can not walk across that map.
Yeah, I know that. Huge in terms of sheer size, but without any connectivity. Speaking of which, I recently managed to break the terrain creation algorithm by walking in one direction for way too long. In the end I entered some temple. Everything seemed fine, but when I went out, I found myself in a weird land of chaotically assembled textures and floating parts of buildings. That's what it's like to hack the matrix :P
How Big is the Map? Sadly, I did not, though I did make a screenshot. Let's see if I can link to it... drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwo145FVcy92QVdFRmN0bmFfZFE
@@HowBigistheMap the textures and sounds and other stuff like that look kinda old yes but the atmosphere still has a unique feeling to it and holds up to this day in my opinion. Also the interiors of some buildings like the shops and lodging services feel sooo cozy.
I walked across the map of Skyrim too: ruclips.net/video/P8U2YTEWGi0/видео.html. As you can see Skyrim is bigger. I also WALKED across both maps by the way.
Oblivion had the largest map, but due to fast travel, it felt like the smallest. The smallest map, Morrowind, lacking fast travel, felt like the largest map. Other factors played a part too: Low initial movement speed, ignorance of common travel routes, ignorance of travel spells, no quest marker, challenging terrain, and lastly, one had to interpret directions. It felt like a maze.
I walked across the two biggest regions in World of Warcraft. Both journeys took more than 3 hours each. Here's Kalimdor: ruclips.net/video/8ePqtaw1xd8/видео.html and here are the Eastern Kingdoms: ruclips.net/video/BuuoJd4a73k/видео.html

Your Acrobatics skill increased.
🤣🤣🤣
Your Athletics skill increased.
Actually the map in Oblivion is larger than Skyrim. However, Skyrim map is much more difficult to navigate making it seem lengthy.
I ran across the map in Skyrim too, that took 49 minutes. But like you said it's more difficult to navigate. There are a lot of mountains in Skyrim.
Is that true?
@@awesome1ru
No. Skyrim is bigger by about 30%
RIP Bambi. He died for cartography
Haha! He has the right to return as a Bambi-zombie in Left 4 Dead 3 now!

That's why I love Gothic 3 and Fallout 3. Those were my first RPGs. Before that I was only playing first person shooters.
Fallout 3...my favorite game of all times.
Paul-André Gonzalez Aldana It has got a great atmosphere, just like Fallout New Vegas and also a little bit like Stalker.
I never played Stalker, am I missing something?

This reminds me that I didn't give Oblivion enough thorough playtime.

+How Big is the Map? ; D
cyrodiil is actually a lot longer from west to east, but every video with walking across the map is from north to south haha
But awesome video anyways
I think it's pretty even compared to vvardenfell and skyrim
As a game made in 2006 looks amazing.
Sure does, and it's a nice cosy world to be in.
As long as you turn off Bloom it does.
most games made in 2006 were made to look amazing

You should do one for The Elder Scrolls Online
Sheait some people just want the world burns
The draw distance on this game kind of short. Did you use mods in that game?
How is that? In the vanilla game you can see any part of the map at all times, if there's no trees in the way.
Great job
Thank you!!
24/25 minutes seems closer in length and scope to GTA 4 and or San Andreas !

My little brother owns the PS3 version of TES: Skyrim.

He bought a Sony PS4 earlier in the year; maybe even last year... I can't remember.
Do you remember what mods you had on in this video?
I never use mods.

forest forest and more forest

Bigger
It's bigger but Skyrim is harder to navigate since it has many mountains. If both were flat oblivion would take longer
This region and Era os more beautiful than Skyrim, i think after The events of Oblivion The world was more dark and poor

How big is the map of real life
We already know that
XD
The paper map, which came with the hard copy, was about the size of a newspaper.
its about the size of earth
morrowind > oblivion. Size isn'tthe most important

Will the current gen consoles and or PC's receive a remastered version in 2017/2018 ?! Skyrim received an update, so should Oblivion. 🍻😂😆😉
