Not the most fun day, but mission complete. Some local club Wednesday night races first, then to get in to what we really want to do with her. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Love your gloop warming technique! Well handled on borrowed time and shitty conditions. Respect your positivity! and well done filming amongst it all! Appreciate it! "Earth to engine!!!"
It’s been stressing me for months! So pleased to give her a proper look. The back end we knew was going to look bad, but know there’s never been anything pulling the two together there
at least you had a launch lol.. me filled up the diesel tank a week ahead evening before launch i come my boat and all the diesel was floating in the bilge and yeah coronation weekend... no fuel no easy fix.. no launch lol
@@sailingmist Hole in the tank about 10mm above the drain plug.. it looks like it was an old bodge and it came completely undone, original tank sooo 49 years old.. i found a replacemtn going to made custom to fit in the locker....
Also.. the day before filling up the tank, i cleaned out the tank, lines and filters to made sure everything was clean, tidy and not leaking then coming back a week later to find a diesel swimming pool in the bilge... boatlife!!
Ah a fellow user of the term ‘man’ loving that! Keel bolts! 🤦♂️ The single most annoyingly hidden and worrying object on the planet! Considering removing and replacing at the end of this year. But still thinking 🤣
Well done on making a great video! Interesting engine start. I've noticed that a couple other Brits start their engines the same way. Do you not have to heat up the coils for a few seconds before you turn it over?
Thanks got the feedback. To be honest I’d forgotten about preheating it. Was more worried that we hadn’t bled the fuel through properly, which turned out to be a reality I think
@@sailingmist no worries, mate! I just noticed it on the Sailing Brothers channel. And on Sam Holmes... but he's a yank like me so... to each their own. I really love your content. It's fresh and authentic. Subscribed.
Thanks for the comments, love that. As for engines, I have to admit to not knowing enough about them, and frequently forgetting what to do for the best. Maybe it’s a throwback to the dinghy sailing days with no engine 🤷♂️
Well that is a very good question. In normal conditions that stuff goes off pretty quickly. We did not have normal conditions though 🤦♂️ Hoping that the chemical reaction continues under the water and it does it’s job
I like your approach to boat works, you help to give people more confidence to attempt things on their own. Well done.
What’s the worst that can happen hey?….🤔🤦♂️🤣🤣
She’s in the water!!! Let the adventure begin. Enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing

Always love your feedback, thank you 🙏 Will be interested in your feedback on the first sailing video, which will be posted on Sunday 😱
She's looking dam fine!!
She’s pretty hot for a freebie hey 🥰
lol that beginning was true british style hahaha
Isn’t that the truth 🤣 Bloody weather!! 🤣🤣
Nice one mate 👍⛵️
Thank you 👍
Nice!!! RACE DAY? I need to check it out!
Let me know what you think.
Nice to see her floating again! You'll be losing races again in no time! 😉😂
You know Mist and I so well 🤣🤣 See next episode for update on that 🤣
I needed to see this. My Pearson has a bit of cracking along the keel joint that I definitely need to confront before launch. Ugh….

Hope all is well with yours when you get a proper look

Holy moly!! That sounds horrific. Found out why it happened? Hole in tank? Hose?

Ah man, that sucks. Glad you’ve found the reason though. So often that happens and a boat Gremlin just keeps hiding things
@@SailingAnja boatlife indeed 🤦♂️ Not all that it’s cracked up to be hey 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣🤣
I do not like keel bolts but hey what to do but pray the do not rust out! Cool video! Thanks man!

My Finnish built boat don't have those annoying keel bolts.. no worries for me
@@SailingAnja what do you have instead?
@@sailingmist Completely encapsulated keel as shown in my profile picture.. bilge is only a foot deep and completely closed off from the keel
@@SailingAnja just seen the pic, that’s nice!!
After all that, bet out Sailing this weekend now 👍.
Alas not this weekend. Family commitments to be undertaken. The channel needs to explode then I can be out all of the time 🤣🤣

When it comes to size! Provision like food water diesel etc. Where are you going so i comes to size and COMFORT!
Wise words indeed 👍
@@sailingmist Thank you! I do hope you get out there soon and with your personality more to come i hope!
Hi Rich, what is the gak you put on the keel joint ?
Hiya, how’s Francais? The gak was spabond
Would that dry so quick?
