I love will as a coach, Bc 1. He doesn’t just turn for amazing voices, he turns for those raw talented voices that still need some refinement, and he has a vision for each one of his “players” “singers” if you will. And 2. He actually wants to see you get better no matter who you are

So true..I totally agree..this was God's doing..he met Will a long time ago took a photo with him.Will told him to enter the voice,he came and audition way after they met,Will didn't even remember him and to see Will was the only one to turn for him..This is amazing..God totally.

Maybe he wanted to have a way to see hear him singing it without any degree of autotune or touching up, that way if there’s anything he heard that he might want to help him with coaching later.
@griffen - Jermain doesn't need autotune - he's genuinely a great singer with good pitch. Other than being slightly flat in the end of Wrecking Ball, he sang in tune throughout all the songs I saw in this collage. I don't think they use autotune on this or any singing competition show - it would defeat the purpose. I can't stand the deliberate, obvious use of autotune - it ruins songs. The first time I heard it used blatantly/audibly/obvioysly, was in Cher's Do You Believe, and I hated it - she's got a naturally great voice!
I'm a professional singer and can hear miniscule deviations. It's okay for singers to be a bit flat or sharp on occasion - it shows that there's a human singing, not a machine. Rock lost its heart when everything became "corrected" in post-production - drumming, strumming, bass lines, voices - locked to the 4/4 beat, it became mechanical, precise and that took all the "feel" out of it. Other genres are losing it, too, and listeners are lapping it up, for some reason. They don't know any better. Thankfully, some artists still reject autotune and precise editing.
I think will.i.am recorded it for his own keepsake; he was a fan by then, of the guy he was mentoring - he admired not only Jermain's singing but his political voice and principles.
The producers probably told him to - Apple most likely paid a fortune for that product placement.
His coach did a lot of justice and work that made him a winner. Will I Am is just a music genius.
I love Will.I.Am he's a good coach and also goofy. I'm glad Jermain won. The girl he battled was also amazing though. They sounded great together.

He’s his own singer not trying to copy no one’s style but keeping his unique originality which is something that I can respect. It helps he got the skills that pays the bills.

It bugs me when the judges look at and goad each other to turn around, instead of turning themselves if they like what (who) they hear. What's the big deal? I'm not that familiar with the rules of this show, like if there's a limited number of singers they can mentor (so hey don't want to risk turning in case someone "better" sings), but it's frustrating to see the judges go ga-ga over them, gesturing poisitively and mouthing things to each other to turn - "No, you turn!" - and almost missing the turn or in fact not turning for an astounding vocalist.
There are too many dull, average-sounding pop singers already on the air waves; there needs to be some eclectic, truly original voices and styles to come out of these shows. That probably won't hapoen much, because the ultimate goal is to make a profit from a singer's relatability to his or her audience, amd bankability to the producers, record companies and managers.

Wow! What a very special gift this young man has both vocally and intellectually. His range, tone, and lyric interpretation are exceptional. Great passion, good values, a very promising future. I wish him the best in life. We need more new young socio-political leaders like this. He may indeed become the first black Prime Minister in Great Britain's history.

Oh, gahhd..what a beautiful voice. "A House is Not Home" was sung with intense clarity, deep voice male version but suddenly hit the pitch so high in baritone timbre. One chair turn proven by fate of faithfully faith at a start. Bravo!

Brilliant. I always said that is not enough to have a great voice if your coach has no idea how to bring it forward...but Will mastered. Every song was chosen to put his voice in the lights. And the last song? Damn, frakking amazing.

Honestly I give props to will for instead of not turning for dumb reasons like not being a fit for their team, too many amazing singers that could easily win the competition are ignored simply cause they don't 'fit' on a team. Chairs should be turned for pure vocal talent and nothing else, looking for a specific 'sound' or 'voice' leads to far too many talents being passed by on the show and destroys the purpose of the show which is for people to be judged purely on their voice and nothing else hence the name "the voice" and the reason they have chairs turned around so physical appearance doesn't factor into them getting picked.
This is a true story of dreams coming true. Imagine the only chare that turned is for the person who advised him to join the competition. And then he guides him all the way to victory

I am just stumbling on this season of the voice. How could they have ignored such a talent with powerful breathe control and ranges? I guess, fate decided to make it so as to link Will I Am with him. I love the connection they shared and he also uses his platform to support him. This young lad is going places and I think his impact at the grassroots level also helped his fan base as well. Jermain gave me goosebumps with his voice, but when he and Sarah sang together during their battle, they were unstoppable (the goosebumps and Jermain and Sarah). They need to collaborate on an album together. I would surely buy it, even if I had to order it online from overseas.
