Ryan Pettit Vlogs & Streams I think it’s only fitting since this was Jon’s Mario Party during his time at college whole Emile openly admitted last time that he never played 7 much.
Jon took the description of "who knows where you'll land" on the Cannon Orb a little too literally. Cannon Orbs can't send you down, they can only send you upwards by either a lot or a little. As such, that makes them HIGHLY valuable, since the distance you get from them along with being able to skip trap orbs are almost always worth it. I always used it either near the bottom or especially near the top, since the cannon can make it so that you can bypass the Dragon Happening Space with ease.
Oh, well the canon will take you as far up as far as the last space before the top. I was once one space before the dragon on the last turn and I used a canon to be on the absolute safe side.
Cannon orbs are super situational. They can launch you up really far, or if you use it right by the first shop... one or two spaces. Also, cannon orbs cannot send you down.

Honestly it's such a nice change of pace to see Chugga playing Toad. I feel like Toad is the perfect character for him if he ain't gonna play Daisy. Daisy just did him dirty for way too long.
2:59 Goomba’s Booty Boardwalk in Mario Party 8 also has a happening space that sends players back to start that’s that close to the star, and the star’s free on that board too. You guys are gonna have a blast with that board once you get to playing MP8!
I'm with Jon with meat being the best toppings for pizza. Recently, Papa Johns had a deal "Any 2 large pizzas for $22", and the app actually let me put 10 toppings on the pizzas without affecting the price (the bill listed over $60 with a discount of over 30), and I put 9 different types of meat on my pizza (with 1 'triple cheese'). It was the best pizza I've ever had (also extremely filling).
One of the most funniest, but aggravating things that can happen is using the warp pipe orb. The warp pipe actually brings people to where they started that turn. So if a person places a warp pipe near start and someone started at the top of the peak that turn, they will go back to the top.
I had the craziest of rounds on this board not too long ago. 15 turns. 4 battle games, 3 of them within 4 or 5 turns (2 on consecutive turns), Toad rolled a three of a kind 3 times (!!), two of which were three sevens (!!!!!!!), so he was literally showered in free money. It was so unreal. But also kind of hilarious.
It's... not all that unique of a board when you remember that this is essentially Mario's Rainbow Castle without branching paths and potentially Bowser waiting for you at the end.
(2:50) That's just like Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, where it's single path, and there's a happening space right before the star that sends you flying back to the start of the level. Rather brutal. It can help sometimes, as it could prevent you from purchasing an overpriced star, giving you a happening space instead. (18:37) Well, Toad is the fastest in 3D platformers. I'm willing to bet on my dinner on the correctness of the statistics below: Jon: Distance: 41 spaces. Spent (in shops): 10 coins. Blue spaces: 3. Red spaces: 0. Minigame coins: 20. Most coins: 31. Happening spaces: 1. Orbs used: 3. Tim: Distance: 35 spaces. Spent (in shops) 10 coins. Blue spaces: 2. Red spaces: 1. Minigame coins: Most coins: 26. Happening spaces: 1. Orbs used: 1. Peach (CPU): Distance: 17 space. Spent (in shops): 5 coins. Blue spaces: 1. Red spaces: 1. Minigame coins: 10. Most coins: 15. Happening spaces: 1. Orbs used: 1. Emile: Distance: 36 spaces. Spent (in shops): 10 coins. Blue spaces: 2. Red spaces: 1. Minigame coins: 30. Most coins: 23. Happening spaces: 1. Orbs used: 2.
Every time I play on this board, or see other people play this board, that dragon Happening space gets landed on all the time, like it was magnetic or something. Glad to see some things never change lol
Strategy wise, It would have been best for Jon and Emile to fall down with the Action space. (Had Jon had rolled 12 or less, he would have been screwed by not being able to afford the star; same with Emile) Getting the Action space adds to both of their chances of winning bonus stars. Plus, no one can still afford the star for now anyways. For this board, it may be easier to gauge who should win the distance traveled star.
0:32 Hmm...history smells kinda like Xiao Long Bao and fried rice. Who knew? Yeah, Perplex Express and Pirate Boardwalk were at least consistent with what you had to pay (if at all) for a star. Plus I remember this board being fairly lengthy, though not as much as the Pirate Boardwalk. 2:12 You can tell that Jon played a lot of this board back in the day. Just like those blasted Goomba pirates on the boardwalk. Thankfully there’s only the one space. Also MP7 did Chinese dragon roadways first before Unleashed or MK8 did. 3:00 You get to use Nimbus to do it too! Guess that means Wario and Waluigi are pure of heart deep down. I played this board a lot too, which is why I liked Perplex Express and Pirate Boardwalk as much as I did and was surprised to hear a lot of people who played MP8 disliked it. 4:30 Right, that’s what makes this board so unique is all the chances you get at winning stars for free. I wouldn’t mind getting that T-shirt though. 5:05 Resistance to be precise. You’re thinking of Amps, Jon. 6:42 Maybe because Horbs sounds like Horton’s? 7:27 They knew... 9:35 We talking official? Because there’s definitely been blood in hacks. 12:50 There’s actually quite a few of them where they do that, like Bobsled Run, one hovercraft minigame in MP8, and some more that I can’t think of off the top of my head. 15:53 You mean Hexagon Heat. The mushroom one was from 1. Same concept though. 17:37 That’d be awful for completionism... 18:35 Emile did the logical thing and hugged the inside. I don’t know if that actually makes a difference in this minigame, but that would in reality reduce the distance traveled.
Can’t wait to see them play 8, in fact I just played DK’s Jungle on party 8, and I won with 2 in game stars, the happening star, the mini game star, AND the shopping star, and a hundred and sixty coins, and the ai players all had 1 star, and none of them even went past 50 coins XD I’m just too good at Mario Party 8 to where I win by ridiculous amounts, but this was my first time that I managed to sweep the the bonus stars, as I won EVERY MINIGAME, bought only 20 or 15 coin candies, and used the monkey barrel and slide happening spaces to get coins and change paths if the star was on the other side’s path, so I had a good run of DK’s Jungle Pathway, if you played Mario Party 8 on that board, put your results in a reply if you want, see if you can beat this good of a round! Good Luck! Remember you have to beat 5 stars and 160 coins on the end results
Will TRG make it to the Koopa Masters home at the end of the long and winding Snake Wa- I-I mean uh Pagoda Peak... Find out next time on The Runaway Guys! (PS: In all seriousness, I land on that dragon head more often than me making it to the top it’s so infuriating!) PPS: This is also my favorite board in the game, was surprised to hear that you also thought that Jon. It was also a really nice breath of fresh air to have you explain the board (not saying I dislike Emile doing it)
I can't wait for Mario Party 8. I love that Mario party cause since it was my first Mario Party I played. Played through all the boards and stuff. Can't wait to see you guys.
1:06 Felt compelled to google stuff that happened in 1582. Apparently that was the founding year of the University of Edinburgh It was also the year of the Cagayan Battles, where Spanish colonizers defeated Japanese pirates in the Philippines. It's also when Europe starts to really shift from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar.
Alex Ramirez think about it: who lost all boards last 2 mario party’s? Chugga. Who explains the board every time? Chugga. Who did explain it this time? Jon. Who won alot last few mario party’s? Jon. So role reversal confirmed?
That's actually the Burning Rock. And it appears on the Green Space at MARIO PARTY 7's Pagoda Peak. You see, if you fan out the fire, you get 20 coins, a free star, or a tee shirt (with a picture of Koopa Master's face on it). Everybody keeps saying it's a reference to the Disney movie "Aladdin". That is because it resembles the Cave of Wonders (the tiger god) from the said movie.
At 0:53 (After the 4th star which is 40 coins.) Toadsworth (explains rules): But a star is never going to be more than 40 coins! I bet my dinner on that! What this means is, the star which the host of this board (Koopa Master) holds at the top, it is a variable price. The 1st star starts with 10 coins, the 2nd one is 20, the 3rd is 30, and the 4th is 40. But after the 4th star, the number of coins restarts and goes back to 10 coins. The number of coins for the star is always shown on the roof of Koopa Master's house. So he gives the first player who reaches him a star. Then the star goes up by 10 coins. But it only goes up to 40 coins. On Solo Cruise, the winning condition is to get one star. The player must get one star from Koopa Master and it is 100 coins. They must collect 100 coins and reach the top (which has Koopa Master) to get a star before their opponent does. If the player doesn't have 100 coins, Koopa Master lets them roll a Coin Block and sends them back to the start until they have 100 coins. So yes, on Solo Cruise, Koopa Master still gives players stars. But to win on this stage in Solo Cruise, this is a little different. Unlike on Party Cruise, the star from Koopa Master is 100 coins. The player must collect 100 coins and make it there first to get a star from Koopa Master.
I remember playing this map once in a normal 15 turn game, and ending the round with 0 stars because that dragon head would send me back to start EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand welcome back to the protonjon show! In this video of the protonjon show starring protonjon, Tim messes everything up by changing the price of the first star to 40 coins. Meanwhile protonjon is continuing to win at mini games while Emile beats him in a photo finish race. How badly will protonjon win at this round? Find out next time on the protonjon show!
The cannon can't send you back spaces but if you use the orb at the last blue space (the one ahead of mecha Bowser but behind the star space) the cannon will shoot you a back into the cannon which will then explode due to malfunctioning. Besides wasting a cannon orb and satisfying curiousity, it doesn't really do anything. You can roll a dice afterwards.

The lack of branching paths is what really makes it unique. That personally why I enjoy it.
*That’s*
(2:50) That's just like Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, where it's single path, and there's a happening space right before the star that sends you flying back to the start of the level. Rather brutal. It can help sometimes, as it could prevent you from purchasing an overpriced star, giving you a happening space instead.
(18:37) Well, Toad is the fastest in 3D platformers.
I'm willing to bet on my dinner on the correctness of the statistics below:
Jon:
Distance: 41 spaces.
Spent (in shops): 10 coins.
Blue spaces: 3.
Red spaces: 0.
Minigame coins: 20.
Most coins: 31.
Happening spaces: 1.
Orbs used: 3.
Tim:
Distance: 35 spaces.
Spent (in shops) 10 coins.
Blue spaces: 2.
Red spaces: 1.
Minigame coins:
Most coins: 26.
Happening spaces: 1.
Orbs used: 1.
Peach (CPU):
Distance: 17 space.
Spent (in shops): 5 coins.
Blue spaces: 1.
Red spaces: 1.
Minigame coins: 10.
Most coins: 15.
Happening spaces: 1.
Orbs used: 1.
Emile:
Distance: 36 spaces.
Spent (in shops): 10 coins.
Blue spaces: 2.
Red spaces: 1.
Minigame coins: 30.
Most coins: 23.
Happening spaces: 1.
Orbs used: 2.
I nicknamed this pain mountain because 50 turns on this with literally every space being trap or character space gets crazy 🤣
When emile starts saying "THere was this one time" you know the storys gunna be good xD
So I love this board already, its so cool looking and I love that there are no branching paths; can’t wait to see more of this board.
FlashtheFirefox Do you think linear boards are better than branching ones?
No, but in this case it’s really cool...at least in my opinion it is.
Every time I play on this board, or see other people play this board, that dragon Happening space gets landed on all the time, like it was magnetic or something.
Glad to see some things never change lol
My favourite LPers playing my favourite Mario Party on my favourite board! I’m excited to see how this game turns out!
I LOVE THE MUSIC ON THIS MAP
Can’t wait to see them play 8, in fact I just played DK’s Jungle on party 8, and I won with 2 in game stars, the happening star, the mini game star, AND the shopping star, and a hundred and sixty coins, and the ai players all had 1 star, and none of them even went past 50 coins XD
I’m just too good at Mario Party 8 to where I win by ridiculous amounts, but this was my first time that I managed to sweep the the bonus stars, as I won EVERY MINIGAME, bought only 20 or 15 coin candies, and used the monkey barrel and slide happening spaces to get coins and change paths if the star was on the other side’s path, so I had a good run of DK’s Jungle Pathway, if you played Mario Party 8 on that board, put your results in a reply if you want, see if you can beat this good of a round! Good Luck! Remember you have to beat 5 stars and 160 coins on the end results
Funny that a red Toad would do well in a mini-game that involves jumping when you know that particular colored Toad's future when it comes to jumping
Will TRG make it to the Koopa Masters home at the end of the long and winding Snake Wa- I-I mean uh Pagoda Peak... Find out next time on The Runaway Guys!
(PS: In all seriousness, I land on that dragon head more often than me making it to the top it’s so infuriating!)
PPS: This is also my favorite board in the game, was surprised to hear that you also thought that Jon. It was also a really nice breath of fresh air to have you explain the board (not saying I dislike Emile doing it)
This is TRG's 7th episode of the 7th Mario Party game.
Coincidence?
EDIT: 10:25 Tim made a bad pun. :)
Maybe?
Okay Jon taking explanation duty was pretty freaking funny
I can't wait for Mario Party 8. I love that Mario party cause since it was my first Mario Party I played. Played through all the boards and stuff. Can't wait to see you guys.
This is probably my favourite board music in any mario party.
I just love the way it was for Jon's spiel and how it went afterwards.
Emile: That was not bad for your first time!
Jon: Fuck off.
*Emile chuckles*
1:06 Felt compelled to google stuff that happened in 1582.
Apparently that was the founding year of the University of Edinburgh
It was also the year of the Cagayan Battles, where Spanish colonizers defeated Japanese pirates in the Philippines.
It's also when Europe starts to really shift from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar.
One of my all time favorite mario party boards.
I think this is a Mario Party game I never owned or played and I can clearly see that I missed out! It looks super fun!
Hopefully this board doesn't turn out to be a *gong* show!
Wow. I actually ALMOST didn't get that. It took me a minute.
Here’s a good one:
Why is there no better present then a broken drum?
Already with the Danganronpa. I can’t escape it, can I?
ThePieFace same
ThePieFace That obscure material? Man, what’s so special about it?
Skeeter Mania Once you know the references, you can never avoid them.
I recently got into danganronpa AND NOW I CAN'T ESCAPE IT, I dunno if that's a good or bad thing
@@lukes.854 yes
This is my absolute favorite board of them all!
Anyone hyped for Super Mario Party.
Shock Burst who isn’t?
I especially can't wait until TRG does an LP of it.
In case you're reading and you don't know... The car is dead, long live walking around looking for and buying Stars again.
Jon is explaining instead of Emile for once.
I like this change
Tim is god damn on point with these danganronpa references
Favorite board. Also great music.
Jon, explaining things is Chugga's job. Just because you win more than anyone else doesn't mean you should steal your friend's jobs.
Alex Ramirez think about it: who lost all boards last 2 mario party’s? Chugga. Who explains the board every time? Chugga. Who did explain it this time? Jon. Who won alot last few mario party’s? Jon. So role reversal confirmed?
@@CaptnStarFry Possibly.
Tim’s take on me reference was 👌
7:22 I LOVE that Toadsworth literally says"Blah Blah Blah" in this game.
One of my favorite Mario Party boards!
Actually, the cannon orb always shoot you up. It only depends where it shoots you going forward.
I love what Jon did there in the beginning 😎 my man
4:17 Emile called it the Flaming Bowser Of Death but we all know it’s trying to be the Cave Of Wonders from Disney’s Aladdin!
At 0:53
(After the 4th star which is 40 coins.)
Toadsworth (explains rules): But a star is never going to be more than 40 coins!
The player must collect 100 coins and make it there first to get a star from Koopa Master.
i love mario party 7 because it has good unique boards and the best 4 player minigames
ProtonJon: Even when he rolls good numbers, he rolls bad numbers.
I really like toads worth it and I really like him even more in super Mario sunshine, because instead of the usual, grunting here in Mario party seven, he says full-fledged voice acting
