That's a classic shape, Good color for that model too. remember the engines that actually had detail inside, pistons, rockers, cranks even thought they would be unseen. That engine reminded me of it with it's vintage detailing. There are very few of those old molds left. I don't even think they design them like that anymore.
Only one nit, Doug... The valve covers wouldn't be chrome, they would've been flat black. Only the early Hemis were chrome and they had a smooth finish unlike the textured finish you have clearly in the pics of the exhaust installation. No matter, unless the body lifts off, won't see them anyway! Great build as usual!
@@RightOnReplicas I kinda doubt it, Doug. Uneven surfaces don't lend themselves to chrome plating very well. Would have been easier to get a set of early '60's covers. But then again, The Snake was on top of the world back then, and Hot Wheels probably footed the bill for whatever he and The Mongoose wanted
Very nice build as usual. Now you're going to have to find the Mongoose dragster to go along with it. Just be careful when you set them on your shelf though, so they don't try to drag race each other and fly off the end and end up on the floor. ---Dave
Nice build Doug. Kind of weird though being red. Remember when they first started running the Duster funny cars that Dons were always yellow and Toms were red. Did they have a model of Toms wedge car?
yeah!!
What a machine!
very cool
JH, It was a radical design for the times! -Doug

IW, I'm not aware of any kits that detail the motor interiors except for the very high end stuff! -Doug

PL, would that apply to a customized top fuel dragster team as well? Could they have cleaned them and sent them to the plater for show? -Doug

The dragsters were cool but I always like the funny cars that they used to run though. Nice build, it looks great. :)
