What really makes me laugh is that Jon says he'd love to know how a fertility preacher speeds up robot assembly, while onscreen is a tooltip explaining how fertility preachers speed up robot pop assembly. I agree it needs a rename, but the lore is there. Still though, PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH!
@@titanuranus3095 Oh it most certainly is not. At 5x crisis (like last time) it's surprising how doable it is if you're good at the game... but at 25x crisis you need to field FIVE TIMES as many ships to beat them back, which you need 5x the alloys to build. Peace is not an option for this galaxy :c
I know Jon is mostly known for his fallout runs, and for good reason, but the original impossible run is probably what got me hooked on the channel. Excited for this!
yes, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it goes x2 strength per next crisis that appears? so it's 25-50-100-200 if all 4 appears, again just correct me if I'm wrong... ...also I hope Jon reads this thread...
Slight correction on what the "All" crisis option does: It spawns the crises one after the other, not all at once. It's also worth mentioning that each crisis will be twice as strong as the previous one, so if you make it to the end of this run you'll be up against x100 crisis strength instead of x25.
I've been doing what's basically an impossible run for the last few months (I keep dying 😭) and haven't actually gotten to the End-Game Crisis, so I'm curious: are they all hostile to eachother?
OMG Not even a year into the game and Jon finds the archeological site for one of the most powerful relics in the game. Debris Belt gives you the Crystal of Odryskia, which gives you 60X your monthly energy production, basically covering all energy upkeep all the way to mid to late game.
Yes yes yes yesss. Jon is doing a true Stellaris series. The universe is once again in balance. Small animals and fairies are dancing with joy. Long time enemies are laying down arms and sitting together with popcorn and nachos.
BRO! 2 fall out series, and a stellaris impossible run at the same time? Right after the banger that was skies of arcadia? Keep jon in the kitchen mans knows how to cook.
I know literally nothing about Stellaris apart from the previews at the end of some videos, yet here I am to see Jon kick some ass in the hardest run ever.
Habitable worlds need to be left on for remnants for lore reasons - those are your former colonies. Of course they're ideal for you, your empire terraformed them before your empire fell.
When introducing this new empire, I saw some names I didn’t recognize among the old friends we know so well. The Nerd Foundation? How may we help you? A tour of your empire list would be an interesting idea for video content
A stellaris series? Oh i am hype now! And you are playing Remnant too, i have a species of space dragons with that origin and boy, its strong. If you can survive and get that ruined world fixed, you wont need the arcology project acension perk and can get something else. Cant wait to see what chaos comes from this playthrough
I would love to see a playthrough that focuses on getting as many of the other races as possible to band together and have them face the end game crisis. A game of manipulation if you will...

I should add that when using 'all' crisis mode, each crisis that spawns is 2x as powerful as the last. The first crisis will be 25x the default difficulty, the second 50x, the third 100x, and the fourth, 200x.
23:06 Don’t computers run more efficiently when they are cooler? So a cold planet would then be more ideal than a hot planet for a race of machines, no? Sort of an odd feature…but, looking forward to more episodes of this! Loving it so far.
As is my tradition, I shall run my own save in parallel to the new MATN series. Since I'm neither as brave nor as good at the game as Jon, I'll make a *possible* run with a Remnant empire and all crises spawning.
While it requires a lot of micro early on (and is basically impossible to pass all the situations on the highest difficulties) it's actually pretty good mid/late game. Maybe harder overall, but mostly due to losing whatever other civic you could have taken.
I've gotten back into playing Stellaris for the first time in a while after watching this. My first playthrough was as a fanatic egalitarian science empire who was subjugated by another empire. My goal was to become strong enough to break free from their control, but they imploded before that happened, and then I got stuck in an infinite war with the federation I was in because I helped some slaves in their uprising. My second playthrough is currently a bunch of fanatic purifier death snails who are clones that have turned themselves into cyborgs.
I recently rewatched the Impossible run, and I am really looking forward to seeing how this one unfolds! The impossible run conceot is such a chaotic and interesting challenge, and there's a lot of ways to approach it.
There are more broken builds out there (looking at you, Imperial Fiefdom!), but I like this build. It's straightforward, and will sink or swim depending on Jon's skills alone. That's...good...right? *Peacebot sweating.exe intensifies*
The truly impossible run: starting next to space Rome when they have an advanced start. Every game since you played as them they attack their neighbors until they cripple themselves.

Death by Sliders sounds like a wonderful way to go out, drowning in an overwhelming amount of tiny burgers. Or a great name for a heavy metal band
I'll be honest, my mind went to the TV show Sliders instead of the teeny tiny hamburgers. Then I realized you could combine the two for maximum Slider death if you added the Sliders on a Slide.

Fun fact about "all" crisis mode: each successive crisis to spawn is stronger than the previous crisis.

My jaw actually dropped when I saw that part of the video. There's no way we survive this.
I can't believe the original impossible run was in 2019, i feel old. That said, I'm happy that I've able to follow Jon for this long
This is so weird, I randomly decided to start watching Stellaris: The Impossible Run this week, and you drop this video. Fascinating!
How long until Jon has played so many Stellaris runs that the entire galaxy is full of nothing but empires from former play throughs?
If this happens, I hope Jon recreate his first major race "The Mighty Ducks"
You could say that cetana spawning and you not being able to do anything about her is completely in spirit of the “ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE” run

It's also worth mentioning that each crisis will be twice as strong as the previous one, so if you make it to the end of this run you'll be up against x100 crisis strength instead of x25.

It would fitting if Jon has to kill the space romans.
