Well the prophet spoke and 4 years later look at these guys. Yeah they definitely laid the groundwork for success and i wish them the best. This may be another one of those “overnight success” stories that took over a decade lol.
The most important comment in the video: "if you're gonna train your biceps, you wouldn't train it from a partially flexed position. You'd train it from full extension. If we're training depression of the scapula, train it from elevation." I have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wondered why all other facepull videos tell you to retract the scapula and don't move it during the entire movement. But why do pushups plus and scapula pullups tell you to go full protraction?
Not sure if I do face pulls wrong and yes I've watched many how to videos but they don't seem to build my rear delts at all.. bent over on a bench laterals and raising dumbbells backwards work for me

me neither, but the way I see it the purpose is not to train delts at all, but lower traps and increased scapula mobility/involvment in pressing.

Ive tried what you’re taliking about and it works. Just cannot use very much weight if you are using a barbell. Haven’t tried doing it with a machine.
I bet almost all of viewers here including myself, were doing this movement only through the x-axis plane and not the full range of motion.
