Congrats! Same here, passed my A+ twice 901-902 and 1001-1002 with his course notes, on to Net+ my 2nd run, didnt pass the first time n10-007 shooting for N10-008.😀
I just learned more from this lesson than I have in two months taking a network class at community college. Thank you SO much for going through all this effort to provide FREE above-college-quality instruction. You're a blessing to humanity Professor Messor. Gods be with you.
Just completed my A+ today, and I'm getting right to the Network+. Your material is invaluable. Thank you so much for making our certification journeys easier.
I passed my A+ Sept 1st. I spent the last month teaching myself data+ and SQL. I learned some things but realized it was a bit to chew 🤦🏾♂️ so now I'm back at square 3 😄. I should have just went straight to Net+! 😄. How's it going for you?
hi , have you learned also from the CompTIA book? I mean, there is so many subjects that were not taught in the professor course. so I don't no whether they are also important. I would be delighted if you could help me with this to know.
Your videos are highly inestimable. As I ply these paths to cybersecurity, must always wish you more years in good health and strength so you could keep creating these useful videos for us all. Thanks Prof.
This video was simply amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anyone explain the OSI model backwards, starting with layer 7. Now it finally makes sense because this is how we all use computers, people start with the application layer, this is how OSI model should be taught - truly genius!!!!!!!!!
Excellent video breaking down the different layers of the OSI model. Another mnemonic I learned about the OSI model that helps break down the data and at what stage it is in= bacon frying produces salivation.... Bacon=BITS= layer 1 (physical) Frying=FRAMES=layer 2 (data link) Produces=PACKETS=layer 3 (network) Salivation=SEGMENT=layer 4 (transport)
Just want to say that I'm very grateful that I've gotten this far in my studies in IT, and that if it weren't for these videos I would have never passed A+ 1101/1102. I appreciate how you've broken down the OSI model.
This was by far the most descriptive and easy to undestand explanation I have come across since I have started my journey on understanding the OSI model. Thank you
Just passed my A+ yesterday and I found videos that recommeded your course. Thank you so much for your free content. The way you explained OSI model was amazing and easy to understand. appreciate you.
Just got my Google IT Certification. Im going for my COMPTIA Security +. And Google Cyber Security Certificate at the moment and your videos have been borderline life changing.
Just passed my network + from only studying for 2 weeks. Download the objectives and make sure you understand each concept on it and you will do fine. I still don’t know how to subnet lol.
I got y A+ in 2003 and I'm just starting to study Network +. This is very helpful and I am going to use this to study and get your notes. You make this look very simple!
@@bennyb4774 Net+ background would definitely help but by no means would it be a massive advantage. I passed Sec+ 3 weeks ago and am studying for my Net+ now.
I used to work as a desktop support tech. No certifications just trained on the job. I left IT for a couple of years I was wondering can I just skip the A+ work straight to Network+ and then ultimately CCNA?
Thanks for everything. I'm going to purchase the notes to support you, I feel like these videos are enough but I wouldn't feel right not supporting you.
Just completed A+ yesterday and am onto Network+. Your videos are quite handy! Planning to go for my Security+ after this and then create a Home Lab and start applying. Does anyone have experience with this sequence or think I should add to it?
just passed my CompTIA A+ Cert on the first try because of you! I can't wait to comment that I got this networking+ certification on the security+ video
Is this the best starting point for trying to get into IT? I've been around computers and tech all my life but don't really know anything about IT. Is this an appropriate place to start or is there another course that would be better for a complete beginner
ITF+ if you want to get broad. A+ for helpdesk/desktop support, N+ for networking, S+ for cybersecurity; Microsoft certs for system admin, AWS, Google or Azure for Cloud Architect/Engineer@@plaidchuck

About 40% of the N10-008 exam objectives are new from the N10-007, so there's quite a bit that has been updated. I would recommend only studying from materials that match the version of the exam that you're planning to take.

Hey, when you say download objectives. Are you talking about the course comprehensive notes
@@camandrews1no bro the exam objectives from the comptia website itself. Cross off every single thing one by one.

Ive been watching the old vid for the past couple days now… thanks for the updated version. :)
Studying for Net+. Thanks for these videos
I'm familiar with the OSI model but I don't know how to define each layer exactly. So this was helpful.
Beautiful presentation layer 6
Please Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza Away is a good mnemonic if you prefer remembering the OSI layers starting from 1. I know I do.

NO! start at Comptia A+
Hi, im just started learning. Im already on 10 video in 007 version from 2018, my question is - Should i stay on 007 or move to 008 video version?

I'd stay as you have time until June 2022

Or if not what will be the the alternatives to avoid expiration of my certificate.

To my knowledge, they are not related, so no, passing the Network+ Cert will not update any CCNA expirations you might have.

I’m so conflicted. I worked through 80% of the N10-007 material already. I don’t know if I should switch and study for the -008 instead
I would highly recommend completing your N10-007 exam before it retires in June 2022.
Thanks so much, I see comptia recommened 9-12 months networking experiece before writing, do you think that is necassary?
It's certainly helpful.
So example of Layer 5 is VPN and authenticating username and password between user and server?
