What to do when you take your pool cleaner out of the swimming pool. Let's start with what not to do. Do not roll up the hose and leave it out in the sun. Vacuum hoses get a memory and will take the shape you leave them in. Therefor, when you put it back in the pool it will remain coiled up and may never reach to the far side of the pool. So when you take a cleaner out of the pool you must leave the hose stretched out and out of the way so know one trips on it. You can leave it along a fence or down the side of the house for convenience. However, if you already have a cleaner hose that is trying to stay in the coiled position then stretch it out in a straight line and leave it in the sun for a day or so, then put it back in the pool.
