Gorgeous! How long did it take to drill all the peg holes? I feel like this has to be way faster than a drill press or acrylic template, and definitely a lot more user friendly!

It's definitely faster than using a template or a drill press. I didn't time the exact length but I want to say it was around 30 to 45 minutes. There's still the repetitive redundancy of cutting a whole bunch of holes but it's really clever and convenient to use the shaper origin in this manner. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the info, definitely another drop in the bucket for the, "I should get a Shaper Origin" discussion!

Beautiful work! I noticed you taped the Shaper tape below the plane of the wood you were working on. This is described by Shaper as a no-no, but it seems you had no problems? Did you have any issues with this technique?

Honestly that was part of what I wanted to try for this build. It presented no problems for the holes in the board whatsoever, but the bottom side of the board (farthest away from the tape), wanted to "ghost" a little based on the distortion. However, it didn't make any problems for the cut--I think if it were a super-precise cut (maybe for fitting a hardware hole or something OR joinery) I wouldn't attempt it in the future, but this worked out well. Shaper probably has a lot of no-nos that I think are worth trying ;-)

Where can I find the layout for this nice game?

If you buy a shaper, you gain access to ShaperHub through which you can use any "public" designs. It's nice since you can save a lot of money buying a template from other sources. Rockler has a cribbage board template for a handheld drill also.

Wait a minute... the tape doesn't need to be on the same plan as the surface your cutting???

It's best if you keep things on the same plane but I wanted to see how it would work. It worked. The only time it became a problem was in cutting the card holder on the back. But still, it worked. If you're trying to cut something extremely precise, I would stick to the same plane. Thanks for watching!
