Too cute - he's pointing & counting - we're counting with him - how many - I don't know! 😵💫❤❤❤ He is such a plus to your videos! God bless y'all, & thanks for another never boring video!! 👍⭐️
Hubby and I really enjoy your videos! But I have to tell you......your little boy is sooooo smart, polite and adorable! He is quite the little helper and cinematographer haha. God bless 😊
Thank you very much for your video, learn a lot of the animals and plants, I missed the noisy chicken back then my grandma have a two chicken in home, now the darn government forbid us to keep chicken.
"I want to film lots of stuff!" Hahahaha. I love this! Reminds me of our 4-yr-old grandson who was visiting today. He wanted to take lots of pictures when I got the camera out to take his photo.
I used to have a problem with deer eating the leaves, so I took a jar of ground cayenne pepper and poured it into 2 cups of boiling water, 2 or 3 min should do it. Let it cool, poor into a spritz bottle and lightly spray the leaves. The deer will very quickly realize they don't like the taste of your fruit tree leaves. It won't hurt the tree or affect the taste of the fruit. Ground black pepper on the ground around the trees will help also. If it burns your nose think what a deterrent it is for them!
This is what I use on my fruit trees, grape vines, and vining squash, watermelon, cantaloupe, & garden plants. My sprayer clogs, so I strain thru paper towel lined funnel. I add dawn dish liquid, to make it stick, & if bugs are bad, a dose of Captain Jack Dead Bug.
Your little boy is so sweet and precious. My wife and I have 9 grandchildren 10 years of age down to 3 months. I’m glad you spend the extra time to permit him to “help” you. Believe me, these little angels are gifts from God but they grow up much too fast. Of course then you begin all over again with grandchildren, but you always know that you’ll get to take them home every evening.
One of the things I appreciate about the way you do things is that you read the comments and listen to some of the things people suggest . ,🐖🐖👌those hog wallers are critical during the heat especially.
When it is hot mix the pig feed with water so it is a slop. Then they digest it better and get a twofer. Oh, also put grass clippings from the lawn in your moats and it will slow evaporation and still hold water. Thanks for the Malathion tip. Deer around here don't like Irish Spring soap. Have you tried that as a repellent?
@@scottfortune9016 I just got a mental image of a cartoon ..... deer standing next to an apple tree with a bar of irish spring hanging from the tree .... and the deer is barfing 😄
I planted some small bradford pear trees in my yard. The deer were eating the tops out of. them so I put a half of a bar of irish spring soap in the leg of an old pair of panty hose and tied it in the tree. Deer left the trees alone and never bothered them again. You have to put in a fresh bar about every two months. Depends if you get a lot of rain or not.
We have the same problem with the deer. We put large netting over the trees but I don't think it is working as it should. Gonna try to give that a shot. We have plum, apple, peach and persimmon trees. Fig trees as well but the deer do not mess with them.
I have several fig trees which the deer don't normally bother, but I have had a few occasions where they did browse on them. I think they prefer other fruits, but they WILL browse on them at certain times. Maybe depends on what's available at times.
Thank you for the tip. The deer here eat everything! I've been spraying with Liquid fence and they got use to it and they still eat my peach trees and flowers. I'll try your way. Thanks again and God bless
good video and job i will have to try that deer eat up every thing here. little guy had a big day did really good with camera take care, be safe and well.
We don’t have any issues with the deer coming in and eating from our gardens or trees, our two English Springer Spaniels keep them away even at night, we keep a few windows open and they will bark at anything that moves outside even the raccoons and skunks. Really like the pig setup they will be putting on the pounds very quickly now.
I bought a wood Mizer blade sharpener from Joe Maine and love it, don’t have to wait on someone else to send me my blades back, and my sharpening works better than production guys who are in a hurry
You can take strips of all material much lighter than blue Jean and spray them just keep a spray bottle full of ammonia just dollar store ammonia and just spray them strips any old spray bottle and spray it on there and that’ll keep the deer off them to it’ll keep them out of your garden to.
I got home this morning and the deer had eaten most of the leaves on 4 trees. I spray mine with liquid 7 and it keeps the deer away for a week or so. Maybe I'll try your method. We used a guy in Columbus to do our pigs last year, and I wasn't all that happy with how he did it. A friend used Daffins and they were happy with the results. It's a hoot watching pigs play in water.
It really is a trip. We use York's in Barnesville and they do a fantastic job. $35 dispatch fee and $1.25 per pound hanging weight. I think that might be a little high but I've never tasted better sausage. Well packed too.
Hi Mr. Green Jeans and our intrepid Junior Supervisor !!! It's a Piggy, Piggy, Piggy, Piggy World !! (re: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, ala Ethel Merman !!) Green Jeans, Blue Jeans, Green Jeans !!" It's Push me Pull Me !! (re: The Original Dr. Doolittle)
It looks like they not only enjoy the waller, but they alos love being sprayed down. One of my late uncles had an apple orchard in central Massachusetts and I can remember him spraying malathion on the trees. It does reek.
Hi, I love the videos and cant wait to get to bed on a Sunday night and watch the latest instalment but i was just thinking, cant you string up a blackout tarp over the pig wallows on both pens? wee man is so pleasant and growing up fast (Scotland is Watching)
Have you considered raising the little pigs' shelter just enuf to let air circulate/flow through ..... and try to find a spot that is more shaded during the day. also, how come you didn't dig the wallow in a shaded area? That water is gonna heat up in full sun rather than in a shaded spot?
I've an apple tree I planted about 10 years ago and I'm still shocked it survived all the jackass deer rubbing on it. They love solitary saplings, and yeah, they'll eat the leafs on them too. Strangest thing... this season our tree finally put out a really nice amount of apples, but the day before I was going to go out and pick them, something got to them all and stripped the tree bare. I couldn't believe my eyes. Just gone. All 3 dozen or so. I'm guessing the squirrel got to them. God Mother Nature pisses me off. Same for our mulberry tree as well. All the fruit gone in one day.
Hi Wes. I have never seen you use one, but do you have a tiller? I think that at some point the small pigs will be relocated and the tiller might help to get the waller made before the move. How would the pigs respond to a solar powered fan? I think I am going to try the Malathion trick to see how dogs respond to it. Folks let their dogs urinate where they will, and they have killed plants and young trees. Have good days!
It might help! Tiller isn't a bad idea, I've got one (in pieces). I think before they get moved to a new spot I'll take the tractor and dig a hole first.
“I want to film yots of shtuff” First words of a great videographer?! Time will tell. He’s certainly had a wonderful start in life. Thanks for showing us these precious glimpses of raising your boy.
I have a groundhog problem. You think that would keep them out of my beans and tomatoes? I'd just shoot them but I can't because of city limits. I got livetraps and I have double spring traps but I'm afraid I might catch some friendly dogs or cats in my yard and I wouldn't want that to happen with the double spring traps. Any body got any suggestions? Theres 2 of them.
I would use a medium to large size livetrap, with carrots , apples or lettuce heads in it. If you catch a cat or something else, then you could release it.
Hot day for the pigs. The Wallow was just the answer and in they go. The pigs, besides horses and dogs take a certain delight rolling in mud and manure. it's that eau d'essance that would cost a pretty penny if you bottle it.

Great job, those pigs will be much happier. Really like to see those blades being made. 👍👍💛
Yeah !! - me, too !! Thanks for sharing, Wes !!
Runaway camera man.....is just too cute. That young man is a good helper. Thanks for another great video!!!
It is good to see your concern for the quality if life of your livestock. Those little pigs are so cute.
Great ending to the video. Your little guy did a great job.
Pigs, chickens, corn, peppers, tomatoes, apple trees, blueberries, and a developing cameraman.
All is well on the farm.
Thank you very much for your video, learn a lot of the animals and plants, I missed the noisy chicken back then my grandma have a two chicken in home, now the darn government forbid us to keep chicken.
Around your trees, use chipped wood or wood shavings. It will keep your fruit trees happier until they get bigger. We do this in the family orchard.
If you put their roof on four posts they can get some more ventilation. You son is a joy to watch growing up.
"I want to film lots of stuff!" Hahahaha. I love this! Reminds me of our 4-yr-old grandson who was visiting today. He wanted to take lots of pictures when I got the camera out to take his photo.
I can't believe how fast your helper is growing up. Hes even learning how to work and likes it. Your a good Dad and it shows.God Bless.
Way too fast. Thank you for watching.
A day of staying busy - good little helper. Stay safe and cool.
Ok I love your 4 year old camera man. Super enjoy your videos. Very relevant for us.

Yes, it did change it. They look like they’re much happier. That was so funny to me.
Thanks for the updates. Looks like you're chores are also fun.
One of the things I appreciate about the way you do things is that you read the comments and listen to some of the things people suggest . ,🐖🐖👌those hog wallers are critical during the heat especially.
Great Idea on the blue jean pest control rag!!!
So enjoy your videos, brings a smile every time, even when things go wrong you find the positive, love it.
7:42 I’ve got my tractor for a reason and one of them is to dig a hole!! More power to you my Brother. God bless!!
Yeah it would have been a lot easier, but there just isn't enough room in there for a tractor and 6 panicking pigs.
Well done . Informative 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing, be safe, 🇨🇦
Glad your pigs are doing well now. Looking forward to seeing the sawmill blade video
Love to see all these wonderful plants!

Good advice all around. I can't stand Irish spring either. Makes me want to vomit. Lol
@@scottfortune9016 I just got a mental image of a cartoon ..... deer standing next to an apple tree with a bar of irish spring hanging from the tree .... and the deer is barfing 😄
Never tried the soap...I can see how it would do the trick, that stuff is pretty strong.
Pigs shake off the water just like dogs do 😊
Blue jeans on apple trees, that got me watching.
Another great vid
My garden is the same way I live south of you in Jacksonville Florida in Duval county 110 110 here everyday struggling everyday
I hear you. Just sitting on the patio I got sweat pouring down my face.
You're great at thinking outside of the box. I never would of thought of doing that with the blue jeans
It's a trick I learned from my dad, but he used tee shirts. I just happened to have some old discarded jeans.
Lil man took off running with the camera🏃♂️ 😂❤ .... lol
hello fall line ridge it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks and boy old 4 is a good work thanks friends randy

True. Any small bar of soap will generally keep them away.
Yes, tried a few different ones, but the Irish spring did the trick for me.

Thanks for sharing! 👌👍
One thing I have found that repels deer? Ivory soap. Shave it, and place it around the base, or rub it on them blue jeans for a safer alternative.
My friend in WA uses those colorful plastic spinning fans on a stick to keep deer away.
I like that idea of malathion. I have the same problem with deer.
Going to try it TODAY.
Thanks
good video and job i will have to try that deer eat up every thing here. little guy had a big day did really good with camera take care, be safe and well.
When I plant a tree I put a length of drain pipe down beside it, that way the water gets to the roots and doesn't evaporate so quickly.

It's stinky stuff for sure. The little pigs are getting used to being hosed down, but the big ones love it.

That would probably help the little ones out, the big pigs have a reasonable amount of shade. Thanks to Scotland for watching!
Your camera man does good
Great video! You may want to cut down that cedar tree. Those apple trees could possibly get cedar rust
Ok your son definitely needs his own go pro. After a few videos and some explaining he could be a great second cameraman.

how about tying up sun screens over the pigs, to those trees?
Those pigs must be 200 plus lbs arent they
The black and white one is probably knocking on 275 right now. Others are ~220.
Our peppers didnt produce this year. 😢
Hate to hear that! We've done pretty good on them this year.

Work?

Can a four year old start his own channel or is he practicing for later?

They'd love it I'm sure.

your corn is too close together.... think 12 inches around from base...at least.
That's true for a standard garden, in raised beds you can do 6 inches, takes a lot of water and fertilizer though.
Don't let the gilt get too fat or she'll develop tar around her ovaries and won't be able to breed.
Interesting. Thanks for the tip!
what about hanging some dirty underwear on your trees? Then you wont have to waist the chemical....
