Sant Bhindranwale did not bring glory to the Sikhs by taking up arms when he had the option of assembling thousands of Sikhs to protest (in a democracy) against the Govt and seek justice. Had the 'protest' option not been available (as in an autocracy or military rule), he would have become a martyr, but now he can only be called a terrorist.

Anmol Singh - You did not read my comments properly. India is a democracy, where the medium to seek justice is through debate (via MPs/MLAs) or protests (Activists). Sant Bhindranwale did not use either of the two available democratic options, and straightway took up arms, the last option. I am not against Sant Bhindranwale, but his action to take up arms was hasty and uncalled for - in the end it brought a lot of bad name to both the Sikhs and the Indian Govt.

Sant Bhindranwale did not use either of the two available democratic options, and straightway took up arms, the last option. I am not against Sant Bhindranwale, but his action to take up arms was hasty and uncalled for - in the end it brought a lot of bad name to both the Sikhs and the Indian Govt.
