I played this song over and over for a few hours (I could easily play this all day, it's so fun to me). Doing this will help with the curve balls they throw in the song. You don't have to drum really hard during the boss attacks. You can do light quick movements and stop a second early. This will let you catch your breath and prevent mistakes since notes come at you quick after the boss attacks. There are 2 parts with quick movement from the orange then purple drums. This part was the hardest for me. I had to practice it a few times. Playing sitting down is a must. You can adjust drum placement higher or lower. Also the orange/purple drums closer or further. You may want to play the song a few times with different drum placements to see if anything helps you from missing notes. You don't need to do anything fancy for the campaign stars (if I remember correctly). Usually just beating the song without any flips or looking away (double points) will still net you a leaderboard spot (if you manage to get 100% notes). I actually play with wrist weights for exercise. When I take the weights off after playing a few songs, I tend to play much much better. I feel more loose and exact with my hits.
