  • When residents of Khersonskaya Street discovered the identity of the Bitsa Park Maniac in 2006, they were shocked. They couldn't comprehend the idea that their neighbour, Alexander Pichushkin, who they described as reserved, sensitive and polite, was a man capable of the murder of over 40 individuals over the span of five years. One neighbour, a 70-year-old woman named Svetlana recalled, "He called me Auntie Sveta. He loved animals and was inconsolable if a pet died. For forty years I lived in the same house as a maniac!"
    Pichushkin's mother felt much the same way. She hadn't felt even an inkling that her son was the man that the press was now calling 'The Chessboard Killer.' So who exactly is Alexander Pichushkin? And how did he get away with his crimes for so long? In this documentary, we aim to answer this question, and more, as we explore the life and crimes of Alexander Pichushkin: The Chessboard Killer.

    Serial killers don't simply stop at a particular number of deaths because if they were capable of doing so they most likely would not be serial killers in the first place.

    • @J_Honor_
      @J_Honor_ Год назад +3

      I tend to agree with you I think the only exception would be serial killers who are driven specifically by occultic reasons and they want to end with a specific number to denote completion or something like that but then perhaps they would not be considered serial killers. However, I think serial killers are marked by the fact that they kill more than one person and they do so repeatedly I believe

    • @jimmynovak7913

      Not surprising. No parent would be able to say “yeah I could see that. Makes perfect sense.” Especially when they hide that side of them so well. @@jomckellanless about hiding and more about cognitive dissonance about who your child is. Most parents lie about their kids being successful etc, denial about doing drugs, denial about if their kids are losers/loners etc.
      even blatant gang kids with 30 felonies that fight a cop and die the parents are like he was a good kid changing his life around! Like nah bro he was bad kid. I suspect the dissonance is strong because it involves acknowledging failure on behalf of the parents. To say the kid is a bad kid is to admit they failed at parenting.

    I'm from Moscow. Now I'm 35. I was 16 when we were drinking beer with friends in Bitsevsky park (the place where this gyu was doing all the stuff). There was lackage of any information in social media about what is going on, but only after years I realised in what danger we were. I remember that we were hiding from the rain in one of the porches near the place where he lives. I don't remember the details, but I think I saw him personally that day in a street. It was during day time. PS: Freedom to Aleksey Navalny and all political prisoners, freedom to Russia, glry to Urkane. Peace to everyone.

      In the 1990s, social media and surveillance cameras were in their infancy. In my journalism class in college, I learned about how this case affected journalism in the US and Russia; every time he would go see one of his sisters in Sacramento, he would kill someone. In both countries, only part of the overseas half was broadcasted live on television. If they didn't have anything to report that day, reporters made something up; a lot of reporters were fired for that. The trial was compared to the trial of Charles Manson in the US because of the media circus it created. That is wild that you lived near where these happened.

    Psychopaths never show remorse. It's an emotion they are incapable of. They are basically unable to feel any emotion about anything. That being said, they study human nature. How do most people react to death, sadness, birthdays, childbirth, etc. Whether it is a normal happy or sad reaction, they pay attention to how people normally react & try to mimic the proper emotion when necessary. To a trained eye, they see through the facade.

    It's much better not to show any picture at all rather than to show a fake picture of an entirely different person and pretend that it is the person being discussed at the moment. It feels cheap.

    Shut up! On with the show all ready! If you wanted to give back then just post them to RUclips! Instead of telling us to go here or there but if you can't afford their then come here!! How about to just post it all to RUclips where we've been supporting you for years! You are at the point where you don't need our money as you are at a level of stardom that you are making a pretty penny. Asking us for money when we can barely pay our bills just seems crazy to me

    Russia is a pathetic, failed state! Imagine the Police in your country being as incompetent and negligent as the Moscow Police force officers in this case! I’m speechless, how many lives could have been saved had the Police done their job properly?
