Just found you today and will be watching the rest of the series as we want to start reselling soon. I have a little criticism though and that's about the audio going to mono sometimes, are you editing with resolve by any chance?
@mrshabby2331 so glad you like the episodes and i appreciate the feedback, im working on audio quality at the moment, when im in the office i have the microphone, but when im out and about its my phone microphone, i will work on it, unfortunately i didnt realise the quality until i started editing it together, i need to invest in some knew equipment for the next season, i honestly really appreciate constructive feedback like that 🫶
@@13undyUK if you're editing with davinci resolve, you can 'double' the mono track and make it in stereo. I assume that you can do this in other editors too
Hey Alan, Really Enjoyed this vid, and cropped up in my algorithm today, and a sub from me. Glad to have caught day 9 of the series. This vid had a bit of everything and enjoyed the out and about walking dog scenes and great views of the Kincardine and New Forth Bridge and trips to the postie. I am a mostly a comic guy here, but love to watch a variety of different vids on sellers and collectors etc, my comic collecting got a bit out of hand over the years, and probably looking to dabble away in reselling in probably around 5-7 years from now which by then will hopefully be semi retired (with a lot of luck.. lol). Greetings from North East Scotland (Fit like and all). :D
sounds like you have quite a collection and good to see that you have a plan, now is a great time to start having abit of a go and gathering some followers, slow and steady wins the race, glad that you are watching along, i appreciate you 🫶
Doing semi full time(10-30hours/ week maybe) for about a month. Going to garage sales on Friday. Occasionaly going to thrifstores. Listing, etc,... Sales seems ok and the number seems Great if i just lokk at the 'Total Sales'. However, the fees associated with ebay is gobbiling up the profit more than i expected. $2000 'Total sales' shown on ebay seller hub for this month $400 generougs cost of goods, since i usually aim for at least +300% when i source things. $600 ebay fees and shipping. I do sell big stuffs like tv and car parts. Soshipping can be alot for some items. $100: Not sure but maybe 10% future income tax $50 : Gas, packing, misc, etc,.. $850 left for me. Not sure if it is worth the time.
yes you definitely need to weigh up time vs return, sound like a good turnover, i have found that whatnot is good for time efficiency i can average 100 items in 2 hours, profit isnt as much but definitely a more time efficient site. i do find a better return from ebay and with the new fees i think i will list a few more items there. with this quarter being fast paced im going to keep doing larger amounts on whatnot. appreciate you watching along 🫶
