    Hey there Tommy and Chris, I’ve got a question/suggestion for you and I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but I’d love to just put it out there. Have you guys ever considered doing an actual podcast? I know I personally would love to be able to listen to you guys talk about hockey-whether it’s gear related, personal stories about hockey, things about playing high tier hockey(Tommy), or whatever else you’d want to talk about. As a fan of everything this channel does, I think that would be an amazing addition to this channel

      I watch this from Canada because it puts the emphasis on learning the game, the equipment etc. I started playing when I was 4 years old. Normal for a Canadian kid. I’m 67 now and I still play 2-3 times a week. The short episodes and reviews are great for me because I already know most of the content. That being said there isn’t anyone over hear interested in creating content about learning the game from a grassroots level. HT is perfect for young players that haven’t grown up in this kind of hockey culture. So, I agree.

    Going with FT6 Pro skates and FT6 Pro pants for the coming season, replacing aging AS3 Pro skates as the carbon fiber started cracking from blocking shots.
    A bit on the fence whether the FT6 Pro skates are stiff enough or else I’ll have to go with ASV Pros.
    As for protective, at least for elbow pads, rec hockey players like most of us don’t need the pro level padding.

    I love you guys. I really really do, don’t get me wrong here. But come on APX gloves were before hyperlite??? There were 4 gloves in between there. I’ll give you a break on apx2 but 1x, 1x lite, 2x pro, then hyperlite and 3x came out last summer. The gloves that came in the hyperlite box were 2x pros. It sounded like it killed both of you to say the hyperlite gloves were nice. I think you need to show Bauer a bit more love and maybe not fanboy over CCM so much. Seemed like Tommy had a lot of issues with his AS V gear. I have nothing but love for this channel though been on since way back.

      @@ByronLee403 Most def likely D'Cosi. Warrior is just going to be a mid level retail at best. At this point in HT channel, they aint looking at mid level retail anymore, they are looking at pure custom skates or semi-custom retail. I just watched the podcast that had Dave C. on it and his company is coming out with a new skate this year that he hopes to revolutionize the skate with a high level product. ruclips.net/video/yYh8Zinsaws/видео.html this will be at the 9:50is mark after the old ad for the Mako skate which is worth it to back up the vid a bit. Interesting tho, I have True's so doubt I will try them unless they offer something better than True

      Go with em man. I have them theyre absurdly good. I dont think Ill be able to go with anything else. True isnt coming out with anything new. What they were talking about is most likely D'Cosi skates, made by Dave Cruikshank who created the Easton Makos. He just announced he is coming out with his version which will be like True - i.e. he was a speed skater, taking his knowledge to make hockey skates etc etc. Hell he even worked w/ Scott Van Horne or SVH made skates for him before he designed the Makos, forgot the gritty details

      Others have said D'Cosi (Dave Cruikshank who did the Mako). Others have said Warrior. I think Chris is refering to the D'Cosi skate A) Because why would Warrior peak interest being just another retail option, doubt they have a custom line B)Chris said "he spoke to the person to ask if he can discuss these..." which if that means he spoke to the creator it would most highly likely be Dave Cruikshank, not an entity corp like Warrior

  • @BadlCompany

    This didn’t seem to be a “ranking” video at all. It’s just “what are you using?” “Oh I’m using this old gear.” Which even defeats the “best of 2023” in the title of the video.

    FT4 Gloves
    FT4 Pro Skates
    FT5 Pro Stick
    100% not fanboying. If Bauer didn't ruin the 2N Pro stick line by making those dogshit 5 sided shaft sticks, I'd be rocking Nexus sticks still. 2N Pro, best stick of all time.

      I tried on the elbows and shins. I personally go down the line for protective so I tried on the FT6 and not the FT6 pro. The elbows are nice and low profile while still having decent coverage while the shins are the same but they don't have a removable liner and that's a must for shin guards for me

    • @DJ-Clay
      @DJ-Clay Год назад

      @@paulielamothe4134 I'm looking into them for my son. He starts hitting this year and is a winger so i wanted something streamlined but still protective. He's currently in all Bauer Vapor 2X Pro. We've slowly been moving to CCM equipment.

    • @paulielamothe4134
      @paulielamothe4134 Год назад +1

      @@DJ-Clay Yeah I'm a CCM guy and I'm a winger myself. I'm using the CCM Tacks as580 elbows and shins. I like the shins though they are a bit bulky if you wear them underneath your tongue but they're ok if you wear them over top of the tongue. As for elbow pads, they're nice and they do the job, but for my style of play, they're a little bit overkill and they're too bulky. I don't really find myself needing that extra bulkiness because I'm not really blocking shots that much
