As someone with over 30 years of experience as a hip hop teacher/choreographer and Studio Owner…May I suggest taking hip hop foundations to help develop a more authentic vibe with natural transitions and body connections that comes from the music. Don’t move to the music, but let the music move you. Embrace freestyling by creating a cypher circle where the dancers can feel safe and supported as they explore movements that is driven by feelings. Anyway… that’s my 2 cents.
