Joe is such a fascinating character, being a murder and being so in denial about his evilness

Joe’s my idol
I love Penn and how much he despises playing Joe. He's very thoughtful about his character play, and I think this tension between how bad Joe is versus Penn's actual personality, helps deliver Joe in a digestible way. Because let's be real, if Joe was being played by someone ugly and not as charming as Penn, we'd completely hate him.

I really liked this interview! Penn is always charming but this interviewer (idk her name) brought it to another level. It was fun watching them interact. And that pen question killed me because I also LOVE the zebra pens🤣

Wonderful casting in this show everyone they pick for the characters is so perfect it has to be someone handsome and skilled to play joe because we see everything from Joe's point of view so we have to be able to "like" Joe lol

Really wish this video had CC. I'm not great at understanding people in a foreign accent most of the time. My father's said is from St. Vincent and I can't understand what some of my relatives say sometimes. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that.😂

Joe had to kill off Love. It's symbolically demonstrates that Joe doesn't actually want love, he's just an obsessive, delusional, sociopath. And his chasing the librarian to Paris is just another delusion for him. I love how in this season the stalker gets stalked.

And yes, I fell in love with this season and the series has returned to its peak and excitement again, without repeating the story.

Its a major tell about society when you feel absolute empathy for a character that in reality is an absolute wall banger that should be put away in prison. All you want is for Joe to succeed in everything he does ? Its very strange.
Yeah it’s so weird. I think it must be because they always surround him with such repulsive people (especially in this season) that he seems good in comparison aha.
I also think his satirical, cynical commentary on modern life strikes a chord with many- it certainly does with me, and is probably the main reason I root for someone who is, like you say, an awful person who should be locked up.
His good looks and charisma also help haha, I imagine it wouldn’t be quite the same if he was an unattractive oddball

I finally have time to watch Season 4 and everyone is British. I hate it. It destroyed the show trying to understand the dialogue through these thick British accents, which I normally love listening to... But I hate that they would do this 4 seasons in - just ridiculous. I'm so angry because I have to use subtitles and every time I turn my head I miss something and have to rewind it because the accent is so thick. Ugh... I'm so tired of Hollywood politics stuffed into every darn thing. So many agendas it's killing entertainment. There, I said my piece.
