I remember in the original video, someone commented how this was the last song he listened to as a teen before he turned 20 so he could end his teen years with this specific banger. Imma do the same as I turn 20 this May, but I hope the man who originally made the comment is doing fine for himself, It would be cool if this somehow became a tradition started by this mystery user. The man's comment doesn't deserve to be forgotten. It always stuck with me, maybe it'll stick with others too.
This was the song that made me become a fan of Kanye then I found this version last year and my mom was sick dying in the hospital and this song got me through those tough times, it’s almost been a year since she’s passed and I play this almost every morning before I go to work ❤️ Thanks for re-uploading this
Damn man, I hope everything is going for the better right now. I got interested in Kanye's work after RUclips recommended me a commercial announcing the graduation album with the Good morning video, that resulted so nostalgic to me.
I’ve heard of a theory that Kanye only says this to isolate himself from the media and if it’s the case I hope he gets the help he needs. He truly is one of the greatest music talents of our generation
I remember the comment about the guy playing this when he graduated. I adopted this tradition and have played this at every milestone of my life. Never fails to hit.
I’m 20 years old opened a hedge fund with my younger brother on track to make millions by October im so grateful and blessed and Thank You Kanye West for helping me and giving me the motivation to do this I cannot thank him enough.
Ey thanks for re-uploading this track! This track is mad special. Like, after sunset and the entire LA ( wherever you are ) metro area glowing and for 4 minutes and 42 seconds, things just make sense
Bro thank you so much for reuploading this video. Still my favorite version of Flashing Lights to this day. It sucks that I was only 3 when Graduation came out
I remember my first time hearing Kanye as a kid was Stronger. I wasn’t able to really listen to rap music because of my Christian background but getting older and discovering this complete masterpiece is beautiful. I even got the Drop out bear tattooed 😂
Have you heard Runaway by Kanye? The show Westworld did an orchestral rendition of it for their soundtrack. Both are great. Also recommend hip-hop songs like Haegeum and Snooze by Agust D, he's a very big name Korean rapper (and songwriter/producer). For Haegeum, he mixed an old traditional Korean stringed instrument with a modern trap beat, it's very unique sounding. He wrote, composed and produced that song entirely by himself.
Graduated highschool finally and this is it. Celebration song for me. Edit: 2025 finally y’all, I hope all is well with y’all and don’t let nothing stop y’all from succeeding in life, I’m definitely doing better then I was a year ago

people in these comments sharing their kanye stories. i used to be an avid kanye hater. as dumb as it sounds, i was scrolling instagram and someone used the on sight beatdrop in the video. i spent like half an hour tracing the song and sample back to kanye. i couldn’t believe it. i listened to that song until my eyes glazed over. then the rest of his stuff. it changed me a startling amount, and sort of got me into trying out different genres of music more often as corny as it may sound. the guy has been digging himself quite the hole lately. here’s hoping that he can crawl back out.
Honestly, when I heard you rapped, I couldn’t believe it, I first heard about it in the bonfire, and I was expecting to laugh along with the boys, but just like the boys, wtf man?!?! You’ve legit got something here, if you can find your lane, the world is yours
You know it’s funny I’ve had so many years and this song always really hits my heart it’s ironic how it’s been almost 20 years since I haven’t seen my high school sweetheart and every time when that song hits it’s flashing lights and stars up in the sky’s love and beauty the real truth of it all❤,And I forgave her
Turning 21 in a couple of minutes, goodbye childhood, graduated and thankful for my teenage years and looking forward with mixed emotions toward my adulthood
Back in his early days, Kanye had his mother and his longtime girlfriend that held him up and pushed his music career forward to universal fame. He was anti-war, anti-hate speech, understood the real black struggle and even had the courage to speak out against the president’s fakeness. It’s what made us love the real Kanye. Since then, after losing both mother and supportive special other, he’s begun to spiral.. hug your loved ones close and never lose your sight of your inner child! But most importantly of all, don’t be afraid to reach out for help, and trust the right people.
Like many of you guys, I too saw the original comment about the guy graduating. I found it when I was a sophomore, and I was wondering what it must’ve felt like. I graduate tomorrow now. Crazy how time works, don’t take it for granted. Love you guys.

I remember discovering this song when I started dating the girl who I thought that was the love of my life 2 years ago, everything in life seemed to be perfect and easy. We're not together anymore and we don't even talk to each other. I gotta move on, that's why I'm listening to this song today in hopes that everything will be fine as I miss her so much. I do want her back in my life and I don't know if my dream will come true. I just want to believe that the best is yet to come.
So she's back in my life and we're friends again. I still believe that she's the love of my life as she's the only one I want to be with. The thing is that she has moved on and I don't know if she'll ever feel the same for me again. I love her so much and shall never forget her. I'm willing to make her the happiest woman in the world. I do want to try again and have her back, but I don't know if my dream of being her man once again will ever come true. I just want to believe that the best is yet to come.
