He didn't know how to slow pace so when he was supposed to move passively he was way to forward which left him open. There was also his balance and defence which were fairly poor.

AB Visuals not true, fighting on the back foot vs certain opponents is a good feat. You can stay more composed and use good technique easier when fighting someone as bad as gib. KSI is not great but better than gib and jakes style will completely change with that fight. He fought deji and gib and you use that to analyze his “boxing”

Reality is, Jake showed he knows how to counter wild fighters. Gibs footwork has always been awful but jake was the only person who knew how to exploit it. Even Jay Swingler could have beaten Gib if his cardio wasnt so terrible.🤷♂️

IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO title fights do not have a three knockdown rule. Gib didn't have enough clout or skill to get in the ring with him. We should have made him fight JMX instead, or just straight up gave him the KSI bout. The fact the 3 knockdown rule wasn't known about until right before the fight is fucking mental because knowing that in advance could change how you train.. Like the whole 'stay low' thing might not have been made such a big deal and he wouldn't have ended up looking like a crab rave lol

Gib pushed so hard for this fight, talked trash constantly in his videos and bigged himself up to be this great boxer who was going to knock Jake out... only to come out fighting like a crab and get destroyed in the first round. How embarrassing for us Brit's and what an absolute let down for RUclips boxing. It's not often I will say this, but Jake was right... Gib didn't have enough clout or skill to get in the ring with him. We should have made him fight JMX instead, or just straight up gave him the KSI bout. Gib should never have been matched up against Jake.
If I knew how bad he was going to do, I never would have invested all that time and support into Gib's videos, content and bullshit, prior to the fight. I guess I just wanted to see Jake get knocked out and he sold it to us. But at the end of the day, Gib is just a hype man. He has good energy, shouts a lot and gets all animated in his videos, but he can't actually box properly, he can't take a punch and he gets nervous in front of a big crowd, as evidenced in the press conferences. The guy sold us the fight like he was prime Mike Tyson, but what we got was a washed up version of De La Hoya. I bet Gib made bare $$$$$ off this fight though. At the expense of the British fans and KSI who got behind him.
