Yep! Left the church at 28 because it didn’t feel true to me. Threw the baby out with the bath water and became an atheist for 10 years. Felt free for a few years and then the nihilism kicked in and didn’t see any point of being here. A major heart break brought me to my knees and I had an instant awakening experience that lasted for 2 weeks! I’m so glad that God is real, love is all there is. 💙

I was 28 as well when I stopped going to church.
I’m a “recovered evangelical” as well. Elder, Bible teacher, youth sponsor, deacon, Christian family therapist, Christian liberal arts college graduate, etc. etc. Left organized religion in my early 50’s (now 67). When I stopped trying to make sense of what my religion said was true and began listening to what truth said was true, I found peace and assurance. My utmost gratitude to those like Aaron who confirm and expand on what I’ve come to know. We are not alone. We are part of a great awakening. We are ONE. ❤️
I found peace when I became an Atheist ⚛ 24 years ago. I stopped trying to please some imaginary character...it was very liberating
I love your story. I was a born-again Christian for 26 years, which really opened my heart and mind to God, spiritual laws, and walking in love, and walking by faith. Like you, I didn’t align with church teachings the more I grew. But I shunned anything that even “sounded” new age because of my programming, and also fear that it would open doors to demons. Suddenly, I had a massive spiritual awakening less than a year ago. It’s so awesome…I’ve been growing and learning in quantum leaps that I didn’t know were possible. It all makes sense that we are all one, everything connected and all a part of all that is. Even Jesus talked about this…he told us that the kingdom of God is within us. He talked about the single eye. Churches don’t teach people to go within and meditate. It’s crazy how that teaching is being withheld.

I'm not familiar with Jesus' teaching on "the single eye". Can you elobrate? Jesus said if a man/woman is not born again, they will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom is the beginning of restoration which will only fully come at Christ's Second Advent.

Absolutely wild how similar my story is. 30 yr Christian, Moody Bible Institute grad, pastor for 6 years -- things started to unravel until I descended into a spiritual, mental, and emotional Hell. All I wanted was truth. Through introspection, meditation, passionate stillness, and the universe gifting me a day (not two weeks like you) of perfect vibrational frequency. My own experience was something I wasn't seeking. I had a mental / emotional breakdown while withdrawing from a drug. I literally purged a gallon of muddy water from my body. Then 3 weeks of pure bliss. I had no idea what was happening to me. Years of searching to understand what happened led me to your channel. What you explain and the way you explain it resonates to my core! I hope to return to that state of conciousness, too. No one can tell me it's not real!

Totally resonate with his journey. My wife and I left our religion in 2019 (November), and I had a couple of very similar spiritual experiences that he shares here. I've now sold everything I own and moved my family to Bali, we are starting a new adventure traveling the world.

Your experience with tasting oneness and losing it hits me hard. Before I found your channel Aaron, I experienced ego death and it was brutal to go back to “normal life” after. I felt the moment the ego came back and I cried so fucking hard for days/months.
I kept repeating “separation is an illusion”, and “we're all prisoners of the egos!!”. Every time I thought of the ego, the song “prisoner” by Miley Cyrus would come on. It felt like a cruel joke from the universe during that time (of course I know that's, not the case now).
Looking back, I realize I was going through the dark soul of the night for over 2 years. I’m slowly starting to accept the short bursts of higher states of consciousness leaving me as bittersweet moments I should cherish.

was a Baptist when I was younger, was saved and baptized many times...on my last saving I did feel my whole body light up, felt like getting struck by lightning... eventually became an Atheist... through all the pain struggles I went through, a massive awakening took place within me...and bro... its been amazing...I have had the pleasure to sit down and learn from Jesus himself...meditation is amazing.
Your comment doesn't even make sense. You can only be born again once! It certainly doesn't lead to becoming an Atheist 🤔 their is no liberation in athiesim. Your the product of blind meaningless chance mutations. You can Eve trust your own reasoning because your mind is the result of a cosmic accident. How can you trust your own reasoning. This is such an on time vid for me Aaron. I smoke weed and know the state feeling you are talking about. I have recently been struggling with the thoughts of needing to let weed go, but also knowing the state it puts me in. Knowing you had your own version of this makes me not feel so alone in the struggle. Cannabis is a beautiful medicine if not mis used.. I feel like I am over and misusing it. But this helps me see the sneaky ego yet again, so thank you so much💜🙏 I want to add.. the mind is so friggen brilliant by design! Cannabis is such a powerful, sacred, beautiful, intelligent teaching plant 🙏🏻 to your point, so long as it’s not misused (which is quite often in our culture) I went through a period of almost a year where I quit smoking weed for many reasons but mostly to clear my mind, mend my relationship with the plant and honestly a part of me was under the impression I couldn’t continue my spiritual journey while still enjoying weed….. that was back in 2019 and I have since begun a healthy relationship again with her. She has taught me and shown me so much but has been extremely useful in pointing out egos thought system, reoccurring thoughts patterns and many emotional wounds. I really wish I could get people to see how amazing this plant can be when used properly ❤
Me and a friend mentioned how cannabis would be a good healing medicine, when used correctly, such as in ceremony 💛

Jessica am in a very similar situation as you. I admit I use weed as an almost daily practice to quiet my mind and structure my thoughts. It is almost as if I have needed a numbing down of my intellect to come into a more non-dual state(even though that is all there is). It's like being on the cusp of something so beautiful, but there is a certain fear that you're addicted to and need to let go of.

It’s all based on FEAR. You become religious because of the fear of going to hell and that you alone are not good enough; you need something bigger and better than you, but at the same time it’s never enough! You’re not seeking enough, you’re not praying enough, your faith is little, so on and so forth… once you lose that fear then you are really FREE!!! Free from the “programming”

nBA players. One in a billion. 8yeArs of just trying to keep a consistent mediation practice is challenging (for me anyway), I can’t imagine being able to get through all of that internal work within a lifetime.
That said, I certainly appreciate the methods he and other RUclipsrs like him have provided. It Really picks you up when you’re not perceiving the world appropriately. Very peaceful indeed

My experience was so similar to yours except I was in that state for 1 week and have been passionate about enlightenment ever since to just get back to that state again. I have opened my third eye and can feel it regularly now and have become clairsentient in recent years. Thank you for sharing!

It still is in much of America 😂, but bit by bit that is turning around.
In AA that state of bliss is called a pink cloud. It was wonderful to have the old timers there to come back to.

I am just now learning about sin as I was raised atheist. My eyes are open likes to a Calvinist preacher. I have been seeking and GOD FOUND ME. I feel so peaceful and happy. God made everything miraculous in the world but the devil is always pulling on us to sin. I love you Aaron . You are an amazing teacher , I hope you come back to teach the word of GOD🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Seeing oneness every day more and more, loving all the people around me more and more everyday, but I never experienced something like a dark night of the soul … Ofcourse I had my struggles and still do, but my ‘awakening’ feels peaceful. My ego thougths now are, your dark night will come 😆🙏🏼
I have some sort of "mental health" dilemma now and feel as if I have had MANY "dark night of the soul" episodes in my life starting in roughly 2020 even though I have been "awake" since roughly 2018 or so... I can't say my story is YOUR direct story, but I do know what all the "spiritual drama" can feel like at the end!
We are very similar. I believe this oneness is being one with the father and the Son. As far as salvation is concerned that God's domain he didn't tell me he needed my input. I don't have a problem with religion but it's incomplete with teaching and how to be in constant oneness with the devine. You are more advanced than me so please feel completely free to elaborate on my statement here I've presented. You've helped me a lot Thank You for that. ❤️🙏

@@CliffCoultas as far as the weed how can you be fully conscious high? I no longer can stand being under the influence of anything . I truly enjoy my awareness and being conscious.
My "Awakening" came at a time my son nearly died from liver disease, been shot and then sentenced to 6 years in federal prison. I decided to water fast and pray for 10 days as I had done water fast many times prior in good health. On the eight day, early in the morning in meditation, completely open in surrender and full of love...not hate, I was struck. In that twinkling of an eye, I lost 53 years of religion, labels and ego of who I thought I was...and I knew right then, who I truly was. I actually had 3" tear trails burned into both my cheeks for three months thereafter the chemicals from my brain were so potent. But, to this day, some three plus years later, the Dark Night(s)(years) of The Soul is very hard to bear. I find myself saying time and again, this is not where I belong and this is not my world. But, I go on in thanks and gratitude as best I know how.
This sickness, this pain , this virus we called ego it’s equally for everyone , what makes it beautiful it’s the way the soul gets rid of it , that expression which at the time the being truly believes it’s real.

It’s funny how it worked out. Brought up in a predominantly Christian country and going to church on Sunday till late childhood and left because the ‘ loving congregation’ weren’t so loving or supportive during difficult issues. I personally turned one extreme to another and hated all religion and every follower. One day I sat down to once and for all prove in an argument religion was wrong but I had to find out through logic and reason, philosophy and epistemology how to discern absolute truth. And through science? How could I do science if I did not first ensure the one doing the science was not cognitively flawed or biased? I came across the Buddhist idea of attaining a state of no self so I started meditating and deconstructing every belief I’d ever had including ‘atheism’. Deconstructing reality altogether till one day, sitting meditating in a chair, my entire reality disappeared including the self. My best description was of a black void as I described it to my ‘self’? But there was only awareness left with no distinction. I couldn’t move because I was already everywhere which was nowhere ( omnipresent), I knew everything because there was nothing to know ( omniscient) there was no time because no movement or coherent linear thoughts, it was all just now ( eternal). I flung myself back into ‘reality’ and out of the chair hyperventilating having thought about the attributes I had listed and realized I had just had a mystical experience and stared god in the face… god was real and I was it. Everything, everyone was it. It was the only thing to truly exist. Everything else was just s dream in its infinite mind. The atheists were wrong, the church was wrong, the scientists and teachers were wrong, none of them have a clue and yet at the same time there is unconscious truths coming from all of them in another layer beneath the deception of appearances as they are all derived from the one. 😮

I had this same experience when I was on weed exactly the way he described it but mine lasted for like a hr cause I was nervous so my ego took back control .. so basically when I got high it came outta nowhere it was like I was thinking but then a thought came outta nowhere and thought who is the observer observing the one thinking these thoughts and from right there ego went away and I realized that I was the whole experience and immediately I started laughing and had a sense of appreciating my self more in that moment because u realize that you are not what you think you are the voices in your head or a false identity that you created .you are the whole experience that you are witnessing you just identify with the body but I will tell you that you have to take steps because when your not use to this it may mess with your mind a little bit so the ego does give u a since of sanity but what I learn in that awakening state is that we are our own worst enemy and if u could love yourself with your thoughts and actions you could live a much happier life

I know that being on an oral concentrate of weed everyday and and greatly accelerated first, I thought that not having rso would close the veil a bit. Ive been forced into situations totally sober and notice I can still get into a flow state or 4d consciousness quite easily. I have a very long story but Arron comes in at the end and has just been able to explain things and convey things in a certain way. I have a close friend and we sometimes can't find the words in human language but we have a mental connection that makes it easier.
I wrote this Allegory several months ago and would like to share it on your channel.
Religious and Spiritual people both believe in God.
However, There are many differences between the two.
Religion creates wars
Spirituality creates peace
Religion is fear based
Spirituality is fearless
Religion is consciousness asleep
Spirituality is awakened consciousness
Religion is hypocritical
Spirituality is transformational
Religion is defensiveness
Spirituality is open hearted
Religion is dogmatic
Spirituality is wisdom
Religion is Not what Jesus wanted, He didn't say follow the Bible, he said "follow me"
Spirituality is LOVE in action

That's quite amazing being in that bliss state for 2 weeks. My bliss moments only last until the plant medicine wore out or for about 30/60 minutes after/during meditation or deep inner contemplation (usually healing/spiritual music helps me). After my first (not really first) bliss/god consciousness experience after meditation I tried to recreate that moment and felt almost lost/depressed that I was not getting to that stage. Could you talk more about those 2 weeks of bliss, what you did, how you lived your life, were you still working at Google, what kind of changes you made, how your interactions with others were, how others (friends, family, relationship) perceived you, etc during those 2 weeks of bliss, and things you did or happened during but regret after coming out of the bliss? Like I was adamant shaving my head bald during/coming out of my ayahuasca. I experienced it 2 or 3 times. But luckily the facility did not have a clipper. It would be cool if you could explain about this period or better yet make a video about that time specifically. Thank you.
Hi lovely video I'm trying to find answers but I can't find anything similar to my experience, when I was younger around maybe 7 or 8 yrs old I remember this feeling that I was the same as everybody but I didn't know how to express it ,I would question rules and especially schools, I was told I was naughty but now I believe they just didn't know how to answer my question, for example I would say things like " well there is no sky only space , how do you know its fact ? Its only what you have been taught ect but then I also noticed the awareness within me ,I would ask teachers " who is aware of my thoughts 🤔 when I found out the truth I cried because finally someone believed me or this is how it felt ,like a relief, my question is why did I know this , I've always wanted to help others but I don't know how because how can I teach something that has always been in me ?

I stopped going to church when i was 16, i never felt priests were connected to people's reality. Then i went back 10 years later because of a specific priest. This priest would stand on the altar and i could stay there for hours listening to what he had to say. This priest hit me up hard with the things he said and made me question myself and my entire life. This priest was let go....i guess the church did not like the influence this priest had on people. The church was packed everytime this priest celebrated mass.....young and old were there...present. After he was gone i definitely left the church.

I have a question hoping someone could answer. I do believe in reincarnation and everything about our energy is transformed. My question is if your soul is reincarnated and people who are mediums are connect to souls that have crossed over, if you choose to reincarnate does that mean that your soul and it’s energy can’t be connected or reached because it’s taken form in another body or can pieces of your soul like matter be spread through both dimensions, such as a part of soul always remains with the spirit even if you choose to reincarnate?
How is your soul different from mine? In other words, how do you know it's 'yours'? And if my soul is no different from someone who lived a hundred years ago, how would I know I am them reincarnated as me?????

God help me! My ego only throws the kitchen sink. Or it’s right. I don’t fucking know. It doesn’t throw anything like this at me. I’ve never been religious. I never had faith but I grew up in a household that did. Ego “love will lead you astray.” “Gods ways are higher than your ways” trying to convince me that this spiritual shit will actually lead me to be possessed by demons and kill people while my soul gets tormented for eternity. Funny thing is. It always leads to fear really badly. Ego ”Fear is leading in the right direction” “God is instilling fear in you to lead you to him and repent” But I thought that your emotions lead you astray? Ahh that’s why they tell you to fear God lol. But every time I embody the fact that emotions are never speaking to your circumstances and then it hit. My perception is off. Ego “Once you go down this path there is no turning back” “I won’t have any influence over you anymore” “You will go to hell when you get enlightened and your body will go and take everyone with you” “listen to fear” and I believe this voice and when I do heart wrenching fear overtakes me and love eases the pain. “You are trying to escape reality” “The drugs took over your life” “You might have quit weed but the damage is done unless you repent. I only believe those thoughts because I can’t find anything online about them. But I do know that the Ego will throw the kitchen sink at me. I want to know the truth but I’m scared that it’s actually Christianity. so do I actually want to know the truth. Or do I want to escape the reality of suffering even if it means fuck God. Funny thing is.
