Not to mention, Nook doesn’t charge interest or give you deadlines. He lets you pay it off whenever.
And, he upgrades your house for you once you pay off your debt.
Not to mention that you get bells from his shop by selling fish and bugs. He is practically giving you a home for free.
You also pay him back with his money 🫃
And he let's you use the resources of his island / property
And let's you pay of your first loan in ACNH With Miles instead of bells
To be fair, he puts you in debt but doesn't expect you to pay it back, that's your choice
@mogumogumugo5101 TRUE
its basically a formality for a gift
Your probably a animal crossing speed-runner or something because he doesn’t even give you deadlines for paying it off, yet you still panic whenever your debts deadlines end in… like, 2060 for example?
Its all a lie i ask you this can you leave the island No never, the only sorce of food is what you grow or what Tom selles you, so if you dont have enough food for the winter he'll be there to take your belles
@@leviathon0019 then why he showed up to my house with a gun?
Wow! The villain is exposed… as being good the whole time
Didn’t they do a game theory exactly like that
or he could be lying
Tom
Ya fun fact he's not even close to being a villain because he doesn't charge interest he doesn't set deadlines a even after you pay off your house he gives a a upgrade with again no interest no dead lines what so ever if people don't want to pay the money they don't have to nothing is stopping you
Game theory
Tom nook is just a single dad with two kids trying his best, loving his job.
Fun fact:The kids aren't actually his kids, I'm pretty sure their his nephews.
@@aidencalhoun4893 well my imaginary island lore is that those are his kids/grandkids
@aidencalhoun4893
Actually, I don't think they are related at all. I think he's just their mentor....wich is arguably more adorable because the whole thing is he wants to make sure they can make it and don't struggle as much as he did when.
(Although they do call him uncle because that's the way they see him)
@PhoenixGirl. Yeah I'm pretty sure that's why he donates to an orphanage specifically, because of Timmy and Tommy
@@JosiesCloset tommy and Timmy are his nephews
Bro gives you a house for free with no interest and never expects you to pay it back. He is 100% not a villan
Dont forget the fact that when you DO pay it back, he gives your house an upgrade and anothee loan
And not to mention that he wants you to pay 50,000 dollars for a house with two floors a basement and five other rooms in the Bahamas
@@OhioSigmaDatteyboiii basically paradise
he still has + 10,000,000 bells
Nintendo had to include that dialogue just so people would stop thinking he’s evil
I've got to say, it doesn't sit right when coming from a throne.
Actually he owns the orphanage and he avoids paying taxes by donating to it.
@@kevinf8439 what kind of evil headcanon fanfic type garbage is that
Tom nook is such a homie he gives you a lone that you never have to pay and after you pay he upgrade your house and give should a new one that you also never have to pay this guy is a real one
Facts
And you can actually pay it off with the money the HE GIVES YOU FOR RANDOM JUNK. He lets you pay off your debt with butterflies and rock essentially.
The switch is in the game, and if you divide the real price by the bell price, you can find how much a bell costs, and how much money you've paid him if this was real life
how much?@@hunterchristiansen4951
@@hunterchristiansen4951 hmm
Can sum1 do the math?
I mean 9 million bells is only 90,000 usd, so its kinda a steal For a 3 story home😅
How’d you figure that out?
@@octo.saurus Googled how many bells were in a dollar
@@octo.saurusI'm guessing someone's matched the cost of an item in bells to the cost of an item in irl money to get an exchange rate
@Minceraft1201 its because 1 bell is 1:1 with Japanese Yen.
@@endermengalaxy4221MATPAT
I have always viewed Tom nook has a neutral party just ensuring that he has enough to eat at the end of the day
Tom nook gifts you a house, he aint a villain
Probably owns the orphanage
And the kids that work in *his* coal mine.
So what he should give you free money and house
Let's not forget that Tom Nook was kind enough to give you a house in the first game. He basically receives a phone call out of the blue from an estranged friend, told that you basically hopped on a train with no plan and no money, and made sure you are settled and safe before chastising you for being under prepared. He then gives you a job (a washing the dishes for skipping the bill job) which intergrates you into the community, and gives you free money making advice.
I’ve never once got the impression he was a villain, only when I got on the Internet did I found out people think this, it’s so surprising.
plot twist: he owns the orphanage.
Oh wait a minute
Also he gives you an infinite amount of time to pay off your loan and no taxes so you can even choose to not pay off your loan or pay it off later
Tom also gives you a loan to pay off whenever you want with no interest. He’s not the villain.
Sounds like charity fraud to me but idk
Them orphans living life like bruce wayne
Fun fact: Tom nook, Timmy and Tommy are all Tanuki :)
Bro, he ain't a villan, he is the chillest dude ever lmao.
Tom Nook gives you a loan with zero interest, no deadline, and let’s you pay it off by selling fish and bugs…I will not have this slander, Tom Nook is an ally of the proletariat!
Bros the least evil landlord, which is still evil but he's still okay I guess
He gives you a house and tells you to pay it back whenever you feel like it with no interest, no pressure, no repossesion, no nothing, that's not evil at all
Dude doesn’t even expect you to pay it back but you do anyway.
@@Bobspineableand it's his own money
Now we’re just waiting for Nintendo to sue Tom nook 💀
TOM NOOK IS A REAL HOMIE🔥🔥🔥🔥🗿🗿🗿🗿
It is called tax elusion maneuver. If he also owns the orphanage, the money goes back to him and he also earns a yearly tax deduction, which means he is doubling the money at the cost of other people having to pay more taxes.
@@miguelcarunchod.1493It's still pretty cheap amount of money you pay for the home plus you also get benefits other forms of buying houses dont give It's win win for both so he still a homie
@@miguelcarunchod.1493 so he just uses his own money for his own orphanage
What a nice gentleman
So he gives 8.1 million dollars to an orphanage, man makes me wanna be an orphan.
Also in game theorys video matpat said that bells are much 1 bell is 0.000025% of the price of a PENNY
Ye I saw that 😊
Isn't it basically equivalent to the yen?
@@pokedude720bruh the dollar aint doing good either
Same guy who came up with a flat earth level conspiracy theory on his Hollow Knight video.
@@plantplayer303he is still credible lmao he got the Numbers to back up his claims and
Tom nook more like Tom crook
I've never seen him as anything other than the saint he is.
My guy lets you buy and manage an island that you pay for with what might as well be monopoly money - because it's his personal made up currency.
Not to mention in literally every single game; the economy exists in a nearly closed loop. Every last Bell you will ever earn comes from Tom Nook. But not every Bell you spend goes to Nook. A significant amount will, but just as many Bells will go to the other shopkeepers or the city in City Folk/Wild World.
Tom Nook is operating at a net loss - and he still manages to donate most of his profits. Dude is the GOAT.
Ah yes the tom nook orphanage
Bro talking facts 🗣
Bro has never been lied to
He gives you a loans with no interest, and no deadline, and he's called a villain
This literally proves that he's a villain
Just watch the game theory episode on this for more of the theory
Donating for the tax write off, damn he’s good.
It's probably his own orphanage too
people thought there were gonna be flying cars in the future but instead theres a person explaining how tom nook is not a scammer and its in a game
Also, by the way bells are equivalent to Japanese yen so according to all the calculations, he’s giving a very good offer
He also was very good friends with Mabel and helped her during hard times.
That’s sweet
Sounds like a tax write-off to me
1) he donates almost all his money to charity
2) he doesn’t give any deadlines or interest
3) he lets you sell your stuff to him to pay him back
Justice for my boi Tom Nook!
If you rob a bank then donate half of it it doesn't change that you stole the money
Robin Hood 🗿
Tom nook isn’t a villain or a bad guy! He’s my innocent baby ❤ love him to bits
Lmao Nintendo realized people knew the truth
He gives you an interest free loan you never have to pay and when you do pay he upgrades it for you. He’s basically the MrBeast of Animal Crossing.
hes not he gives you a house with no interest and most of the time you only get your money through fish and bugs so he gives you a massive house with bugs
LEEEERRRROOOOOYYYY JENKINS
Imagine saying that in court “I ain’t the bad one here, I donate to the orphanage!”
You missed out a very good opportunity to say “Tom Nook is a crook”
so instead of drowning in money, he's drowning in feathers for donating to Boondox, i see!
(for those unaware: in wild world you were able to send bells at the post office to Boondox, a village you don't get to see, but as a thank you, you would get the feathers, now associated with Festivale, in the mail)
Call me robin hood, cuz that orphanage is finna give all that money back.
That my friend, is called a tax write-off
THEY AREN'T RACOONS THEY ARE TANOOKIES
WHO CARES BRO??
me
I’m tired of Tom Nook slander
Bro is not only a shining light in the dark abyss of capitalism in America, but hes also such a cute little guy!
Yeah Tom Nook is the best and to be honest he gives you a loan with no interest and lets you pay it off in your own time for a house he got built in one day. What a legend.
He gives money to the orphanage so he can have other future kids to use for his shop
Imagine buying a house and then the person selling the house says
"Well you are in debt now but feel free to pay it at any time, or just don't pay it, and when you do I'll upgrade your house"
Wait a minute, that mean he's still swindled 900K from you 👁️👄👁️
I.... never did, even tho i did play animal crossing
That's what he wants you to think.
In animal crossing wild worlds Tom Nook has served as a sort of father figure fo Mable and Sable after their parents died
I don’t believe him
I like your videos
@@Just_a_Guy94 thanks
Every like I get I do -1 pushups
"Im not a raccoon, Im a reindeer"
- Raccoon Dog
They aren't raccoons they are tanuki's
He literally gives you infinite time to pay.
Yeah but he is taking my money tho😂😂😂
"...the only orphanage who needs money IS ME!"
To be fair. Tom Nook gives you an interest free loan to be paid back at your own pace.
Wow it's like real life when the house is almost worth a million dollars and it's in the bad neighborhood
"I'm not greedy!" He says while on a throne
*tom nook waiting forever giving you chances to pay it off* franchise: VILLAN
....no one thinks he's a villain if they have even a smidge of intelligence.
i always saw him as a chill guy
It would be funny if timmy and tommy instantly takes breaks when you leave
Maybe Tom nook could be the villain of Greed
as a fellow businessman I think people are stupid to hate on nook, you agreed to pay for the house
Tom nook is now a villain to me as he donates to an orphanage
Let's be honest, Nook is just your average American salesman but a good person.
Tom Nook is no crook. He's not villain, he's just chillin'. He ain't greedy, he donates to the needy. He doesn't treat Timmy and Tommy like kelp. Heck, they even offered to help!
BUT ultimate plot twist he OWNS the orphanage
Plot twist: the orphanage is owned by tom nook.
Dude, he just gives you a free house and lets you pay it off whenever you feel like it! He's awesome!
Tom Nook donates to the orphanage and took in his nephews when they lost their parents, if I remember correctly. His loans never have interest and you have unlimited time to pay him back. Honestly, for what he could do, he's just a kind hearted man that does his best to live a good life and help those around him while still maintaining a healthy economy. A healthy economy actually does help everyone. More money means more jobs, more jobs mean more people in an area, meaning more money in circulation, creating needs for more and more jobs, in a community where everyone is now participating, growing together and embracing unity.
I never understood the nook hate, dudes extremely generous
I just see him as a business owner trying to make bells
Plot twist he owns the orphanage and the orphans are working for him
Okay I like tom nook how he helps a orphanage
Imagine if the orphanage has a kid named Mario… Nintendo is coming for them
lol , Tom Nook say he donates 90% of it to charity, yet he’s sitting there in his 1b $ mansion😂😂😂😂
He seems like Mr. Krabs with all the money
Tom Nook just gives you a house and says “if you want it upgraded pay me” like you don’t technically need to pay him for it
I’m not convinced the orphanage could be a tax write off
Tom probably does it to avoid taxation and probably owns the orphanage.
Tom nook is the new bill collector💀💀
The only villan is the fox selling you fake art.
Me who watches game theory:
I am 4 alternate universes ahead of you
We all know Tom hold his whole generation captive for that vid
At least he didn’t comit tax evasion like Yoshi
He should be donating 95%.
Not to mention, he adopted timmy and tommy.
Treasure islands be coming in clutch 🔥💀🔥
This Is literally the family guy skit "our boss is such a prick!"
"Yeah? Well that prick donates most of his check to charity!"
