you're right. 200mm was based on a GIF on citroen india site. we then confirmed the final ground clearance with citroen product & engineering team. they have told that 200mm on the site is a glitch. 180 is actual.
Abe price 2 sep ko ayenge . Basalt 7.99 varient is Naturally Aspired underpowerd engine hoga , for a heavier car like basalt.TURBO engine comes at 9.99 starting. No dought its a reasonable good product at that price point , but No sales dealer and service network is the biggest challange.

Bassalt has smooth and punchy engine , which has matured over the years, and this engine is better then MPFI 1.2 engine of TATA , which is relatively a new engine, and eventually over the years will get better after multiple improvements TATA wil do on it. The other NEW DIRECT INJECTION 1.2 engine from TATA would definitely be a leap forward and it will be interesting to see how improved this engine turns out to be ......
Tata have to price the car considering Nexon and Basalt rather than looking at Korean sisters prices. Beating Creta in the segment have not become inevitable so Tata has just one shot to be in the game or else it will struggle like VAG with 5 star rating but less than 3k sales combined in the segment so TATA’s safety factor won’t make a difference. Pricing it 80-100k below Creta’s pricing might give Tata a good heads start else they will struggle with 2-3k units per month sales figure like Honda, VAG and i am not considering MG Astor due to its non existence sales in the Segment.
I don’t think Curvvy will have any demand, Basalt is clearly the better looking and economical of the 2 Coupe’s!! Target market is pretty price sensitive and conscious of the looks!!

Curvv ka top model automatic lene se thoda paisa aur daalke creta n line n10 manual ya automatic lena is a better buy. Tata curvv bas creative plus s tak lena hi sensible hai rather than buying creta s optional.
Like i have said earlier there are 2 things here. 1. The 1.2 ltr petrol engine sounds small. Rather a 1.5 ltr petrol would have been better. 2. With the 1.5 ltr engine tata should have introduced hybrid also... EVs are falling, not the future by a long shot.....
While I somewhat agree with your lower variant expected price.. The top variants will cost more than what you are expecting.. The price difference between Creative S & Creative+ S is going to be about 2 lacs & not 1 lac as you say.. Similarly its going to be 2 lacs price difference between Creative+S & Acceomolished S & also same price difference between Accomplished S & Accomplished+A.. So in short as per my expectations, the top 3 variants are going to cost 1-2 lacs more ex showroom than your expectations..
Basalt should have been available in base variant with turbo option also. Not everyone can spend 3 lacs more for turbo. Other features can be fitted from outside when u have the money . They can charge a premium of 1 lakh or so for turbo engine

I've got 6 vehicles (2 cars and 4 bikes) and none of them were bought without due diligence and research. And in India, the dealers blatantly refuse to give a test drive of more than 4-8 km. No sane person spending lakhs of rupees, hard earned, would buy a car without knowing about it. Gone are those days when people bought cars for the brand names.

you're right.
