I heard this for the first time last Sunday morning in a friend's car on the way to the beach.. I used to be active in church but after the sudden loss of my wife, I isolated myself and stopped going completely. I'll give a hallelujah and an amen. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ He hasn't given up on me.

I don't really listen to country music, but I just heard about Maren's situation, this song just brings home the complexities of her feelings about the genre and the industry. Thank you Maren for bringing out that side of it that is beautiful and transcendent ❤
Fav memory of this song: i was moving to LA in 2018 and driving cross country to get there. Somewhere around Amarillo Texas there is a windmill farm off the freeway and it was just beautiful to be on that road as the sun was setting and this song which i had never heard before came on. One of those moments where you realize what a beautiful country we live in no matter what part you are in. This song captured that moment in the best way.
It's a bit surreal seeing this video. I actually went to West Elementary school with Maren in the sixth grade. She was in Mr, Wyant's class and I, Mrs. Jablon's. She was always nice to me, and I always had a bit of a crush on her, but never acted on it. I was shy, of course. She seems so mature and sounds so grown up now, but she still looks about the same, still her. I heard her sing the national anthem at an event, can't remember if it was high school graduation or something else, but I am happy she is following her dreams. Do what makes you happy, Maren! I wish you all the best.

My mom contracted cancer. She called us, her 4 sons, together for a talk about the future. I was the only one present who said she should sell everything and go travel wherever she most wanted to visit for the rest of her life. My brothers were mad at me because I already had plans for my future that didn't rely on an inheritance, though I'm basically broke myself. I wish she had listened to me. The greed over what was left became a huge stumbling block for our family, and it's not really that much anyway. Learn from this story people.

Let me get this straight... The Lord can't use Hank and Johnny or country music for that matter to set someone on the right path? Also how is singing while driving blasphemous? How will hearing this song lead someone astray? She is after all going the down the highway HELPING people. Hearing YOUR religion perhaps might lead some astray but not singing while helping those in need. Not our place to judge but to share the love of Christ. I actually start listening to her music when I first hear this song by chance. She was a new comer to country music at that time, but I thought she will be a big star! I knew her soul in this song. I still like her songs whenever I listen to her new songs! PLEASE keep releasing new songs!!

It IS a great song and a wonderful testimony to REAL country, where alot of the artists were rooted in gospel music. Most of them knew Jesus and were saved. It certainly carried over into their songs.. And probably helped get alot of people (including me) through some very rough times. 🛐🙏✝️💞🙌

Church isn't always about going into a building and kneeling down to pray. It can be that one song you hear and believe in the words so much that it touches you in a healing way. Sometimes you realize how good you have it, even when you don't think you do,just because of the words of a country song. I believe country music tells a story of life like non other. It's form the heart. That's just my opinion. It's great to live somewhere where everyone can have an opinion :)

Old songs tug at our heartstrings because they bring forth old memories. This country gospel pop concoction speaks to me because it brings forth old memories of Tanya Tucker. Morris has a reputation as a country music outlaw like Tucker had. I'm positive that's no coincidence.
