The up arrow above the down arrow means to cancel your ground pound mid air. If you are in the middle of a ground pound and you press up, you can cancel it. You do have to time it a little bit by waiting until the ground pound flip animation is done. Also, you can do a higher jump than what is normally possible with an a/b press jump at a stand still (in the 3D World Game style). If you press up on the Dpad and then R in that order (timing doesn’t matter for this) then you can do a spin jump. For future reference, there is a menu with all of the possible movement options that you have in whatever game style you are playing in.
Can I just say I like watching YuB so much! I really like watching him play difficult levels it's more relatable than watching an expert play hard levels a video like this also teaches me more about level design more than watching a pro breeze through the level.
