If you ward in the corner to your right (past the chickens bush) at 1:15-20 you can see the cross sooner. If you know they invade (you have enough time to get to the wave for xp), it lets your jg know if they need to vertical. It will expire just a few seconds after the cross, so you will have a new ward for scuttle fight too. + its less likely to be seen by sweeper, if they decide to 4 camp into mid, they wont know that youre aware of the possibility
You can do the same thing on blue side by putting the ward in the farthest point of the bush (between the jungle entrances that connect to mid) pink ward is even better, because the jg will rarely step in the bush early

Is this ward useful as a roaming support?
this is just useful to put level 1, if you are able to put it then yes (maybe as support you could be near this area when invading as 5 people lvl 1)
