One 9B and just bought wheeler’s dwarf. I have mine on a drip system for 10 mins a day. It’s in full sun How long does it take to get established because I’ll probably reduce the amount of water it gets afterwards. Thanks, any additional info for AZ grower is appreciated. 😊

I have to replace my pittosporum because of our freeze in north Texas. You said not to water frequently I have a aprinkler system what should I do about watering them. The other ones were watered twice a week for 15 years. Thank you for the information.

Good video, thank you. My shrubs where planted 6 years ago / zone 8b. I find the bottom of the shrub covers close to the ground extremely well; but it is difficult to get to the drip heads. I also want to prune back the width. What is the best hand pruning method for these shrubs to accomplish this?

Low growing plants like this can be tricky to prune. I just cut what I can, but almost certainly some has rooted in the ground and will need to cut with a shovel.

I have Wheeler’s Dwarf Pittosporum in my front landscape which is mostly shaded for a couple of years now and it stayed low and compact. However, this summer it has gotten very leggy and color is not as vibrant. I’m not sure what has happened. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you might have for me to try.

Could you tell me how often to water newly planted ones? I live in zone 8b in the high desert. I planted them 2 weeks ago. I water every day because of the summer heat and noticed today some leaves are turning brown.

Do you prefer the Wheelers dwarf Pittosporum or the Mojo Pittosporum? I live in zone 8a and they will be planted in front of the porch. Part sun part shade. Need low growing.

I really like them both. Very similar except the variegation. If you need a pop of color go with the Mojo

I love this plant. The only drawback.... very weak limb.

will the non-dwarf version do OK in zone 7b? i’ve frequently seen the dwarf version labeled as zone 8-11, but the non-dwarf labeled as zone 9-11.

I have the best luck with the larger growing variegated variety in zone 7. I wouldn't want it exposed to a lot of winter wind though.
