This house and streets brings so much nostalgia for me when we used to visit our grandparents house in Bangalore when we were kids. Superb cold weather in the mornings and pleasant throughout the day. The food, the house, cousins etc. Thanks for bringing them back on the screen.

This movie is so well written, especially if you speak Kannada (eg, bombe-goobe rhyming) but also for anyone reading subtitles it is a funny, poignant story about an Indian upper middle class family in Karnataka 60s/70s. This is exactly like my father’s family, growing up at the same time in Mysuru, 8 kids, overwhelmed father who forced all sons to become engineers, died in middle age, and daughters married off young. They got all details down - the ambassador, scooters, girls’ hairstyle, boys’ moustaches, the front door of the house! And the strong female lead!! I wish there were more of these types of movies coming out of India, with genuine female lead characters.

I recently watched a Kannada movie
Achar and Co. Trailer was really good so had planned to watch it. These days I don't even understand when the movies come and go from theaters. Luckily I found it on Amazon prime last Sunday. I thought it would be a journey of a lady to build her business. But The movie was all about the mega family Achar. After a long time I happened to laugh at Good content. Such a wonderful script, picturization, acting and great direction.
My family and I enjoyed every bit of it. We may watch it again. A must watch for people who look out for good content. Watch it with your family and have a great time.
