Gotta love Kid Ramos. A deep, deep blues guitarist I can listen to for hours. I was lucky to catch Kid Ramos with James Harmon in Seattle years ago. Thanks Kid. One of the best ever. Terrific guitar work by Laura Chavez. Picking hard at the bridge for bottom of the barrel blues. Two great guitarist who understand that you have to feel the blues to get it. God bless Kid and Laura.
When we lived in So. Cal. We would go see Kid Ramos every chance we could. BUT be on the look out for his son Johnny! He’s a chip off the o’l block! Come up to the festival at Sandpoint ID. Kid WE NEED YA!!!
Nothing gets to mr like a slow minor blues. Gets you deep down. These two know how to delve into that deep well of feel. Fantastic playing with not one note played without something to say behind it. After all these years I’m still in love with the Blues. So glad to see there are still true blues players out there doing it.
