Selenium WebDriver is a popular testing tool for web automation. It is available in the form of a library.
Watch this video to learn about downloading and setting up selenium WebDriver in plain java and maven projects.
WebDriver drives a browser natively, as a user would, either locally or on a remote machine using the Selenium server, marks a leap forward in terms of browser automation.
Selenium WebDriver refers to both the language bindings and the implementations of the individual browser controlling code. This is commonly referred to as just WebDriver.

Hi...I have added maven dependencies in the pom.xml file and libraries got added automatically but I still for me am not getting any webdriver suggestions when I type WebDriver keyword in my code...can you please let me know were might the issue
After writing the webdriver press Ctrl+space to see the suggestions

When i am trying to download selenium file from download page, i am getting single file with internet explorer icon but not as shown in this video. and i downloaded jar file under java in selenium page and chromedriver and added files to build path but eclipse is not showing webdriver. Can you please help me with that.

Archetype anedi oka template laantidi mana project ki.
For eg if u consider car as an example:
Car has many models ryt, so similarly maven project also has so many models.
Archetype decides which model we want.
If we don't much about archetype then we can skip the archetype selection.
Then it will create a basic model of maven project

As we knew, maven is a build management tool and also it is a library management tool.
Usually in the process of building a project we might require multiple steps like compilation and copying the resources and executing some tests etc etc .
So they all can be achieved using maven in a very easy way.
It also allows you to maintain the libraries in the form of dependencies which is quite useful even when u r setting up ur project in a new machine. Bcz maven downloads those libraries for u without much manual intervention
Like this there are so many advantages and uses with maven

For using any framework in selenium java , is this one jar file is enough or required any more ? if required please share
It depends on your framework buddy.
If the framework is just using selenium then this library is enough. but mostly we will few more libraries like testng, log4j and apache poi libraries
Hi anna, Iam facing this issue for creating maven project : select an Archetype filter not shwing any thing.It's completely empty.Could you guide me?
In the first screen check the checkbox called skip archetype selection and create the project buddy
when i am trying to access get() , it is not showing any method suggestions. if i gave get() through keyboard, then it is working. i imported WebDriver and tried control+space , there was no use and i restarted,r efreshed and enabled auto-completion option in eclipse. why it was not suggesting any methods?

Didn't try much with that version as of today, so can't comment on that
By adding artifact id it shows failed to create project how to rectify it
