It's hypixel that removed freelook, not lunar client. The odds of it coming back this time is lower, though not impossible.

@@hulgus but the reason why they did that is because hypixel decided it was a blacklisted mod, even on forge if you have perspective mod in your folder, you cant join the server.

@@imjusthere9199 nope, they definitely can. Lots of mods have been blacklisted on forge. Everytime you join the server it checks your mod folder to see if you have any blacklisted mods, like schematica.

Also mods in skyblock give you waaaay more advantage than freelook does, in fact, not using mods for dungeons, for example, is considered throwing.

I'm pretty sure it was removed from hypixel because of the crystal hollows update in skyblock, because you could x-ray in the crystal hollows using it. And the crystal hollows update was released very recently, and freelook was removed about the same time.

The term 'unfair advantage' has lots of flaws as high fps could be classified as an 'unfair advantage' because playing with 400+ fps is easier than playing on 30 fps and same with ping ig except backwards (low ping could be classed as an unfair advantage because it can be easier than playing with high ping)

There is a plugin that contains the lunar client api which can be used by any server to disabled ANY mod not just freelook same goes for badlion ect

if u rec in 120 fps, u can render in premiere in 60 fps with frame blending which makes it have a motionblur effect. also instead of using those shaders u can just increase the saturation in the editing so u grt higher fps

I don't really mind it being in the game, but as a vanilla player it's annoying when people "abuse" it and it significantly affects the game (it pretty much makes fireballs useless since they can watch you while they bridge, which isn't possible on vanilla), I lost a game in a tournament because of it once
just wanted to say as a forge user because of skyblock you cannot join if you have a perspective mod/free look it will just kick you which means that you cannot use it and its not coming back

Two main reasons for this happening:
One: someone has been reported 4 using kill aura while mining a bed defence. The person on atlas Can't tell between freelook and kill aura
Two: Just dodging fireballs while bridging that u shouldn't be able to see.
Dear Hypixel, Lunar, Badlion, and every other client with free look removed
Free look is an advantage to ALL players

I define an unfair advantage as anything that changes how the player interacts with other players (i.e kill aura) and the world around them (i.e flying) and I don’t think you can classify any visual mods, such as freelook as unfair. It’s not unfair if it’s a. Accessible. And b. Not changing how you interact with players and the world

To me, an unfair advantage is-
Something that makes the game, or certain part of the game, easier without ANY skill or input of the Player, or making it harder for other player to win, hit, etc the Player.
Using these, flight, teleporting, etc are considered an unfair advantage, and autoclickers.
However, freelook (which does not affect gameplay for others), toggle sprint (requires the pkayer to continuously press W), and other stuff.
Since freelook has a similar effect of f5, you can still technically do the same things using it, though it’s slightly different. You can get nearly all the angles from f5.

So hypixel spends more time getting rid of freelook for an unfair advantage then actually getting a better anti cheat ?

Hypixel uses a plugin called LunarClientApi wich lets you disable surtant mods, it isnt lunars fault that they disabled it. It still works on other servers.

@@iballcraft2235 blast radius of explosives is different between 1.8 (the servers version) and 1.17 so it creates invisible ghost blocks that you get stuck in

an unfair advantage is only unfair if it actually gives an advantage. Freelook does not give an advantage because f5 can see the exact same distance and areas, its merely a more convenient method of using f5. Therefore, although it's not accessible in vanilla, it still shouldn't have been removed.
