He went to prison, not just jail. He went to a fight with some friends and someone in the other group pulled out a gun. In the struggle, someone was shot and killed, but it was ruled self defense. It wasn’t Ronnie that shot the person. However he had brass knuckles on him so was arrested and put on probation. But he violated probation, I think by leaving the State to go on tour with Escape the Fate, but drugs were also probably involved. So he was sent to prison for a couple of years. He wrote the album called The Drug in Me is You while in prison. When he got out, the guitarist Derek Jones was the one who picked him up and they formed Falling in Reverse. That’s it in a nutshell.
He didn’t keep up with his probation or even check in…because of drugs 😢it was meant to be because it changed him and look at him now 💪 beautiful girlfriend, life, better dad and freaking great music!! ❤ I hope people see his growth 🎉
To answer your questions. He was in the group Escape the Fate before FIR, which were very emo rock. So yeah, that’s who he was back in the day. (Remember the first iteration of himself killed off in “The Voices in my Head”?) ETF kicked him out when he went to prison, and he formed FIR while locked up. FIR started off in this general genre, too, although he did play around with harsh vocals back in the day, too (Raised by the Wolves, Alone, Sink or Swim, for example, although there are many more). Yes, he’s the last one remaining of the original FIR. Don’t quote me but I believe everyone else was let go over the course of time, except for Derek Jones, who tragically passed away in 2020, just 5 months after his wife passed from cancer. You noted the tribute to him at the end of the Vampire Revamped video. FIR, though, is basically Ronnie. Everyone else is hired. Again, don’t quote me, but I’ve read many times that Ronnie wrote this song in prison, looking into a mirror. So yes, it is about his own personal struggles (as are most of his songs). The girl in the video is supposed to be the girl on the cover of their debut album. What she represents is open to interpretation, I guess. I have my theory. Can’t guarantee it’s the “correct” interpretation, though.
In the 2nd one if you notice his teeth they lead into the revamped version of I am not a Vampire. Ronnie was in prison for 2 1/2 years. There was a situation where these people wanted to take one on one of his friends in a fight Ronnie showed up and things escalated his friend ended up shooting one of the other guys . Ronnie was arrested for having brass knuckles. He was supposed to go to court and didn't show up. So that's what got him thrown in jail or that's the way I understand it. This song is about his addiction to heroin and the girl is heroin. Ronnie is great at turning a rock/emo song into something absolutely beautiful. Yes , he was very much emo back in the day 😂. The girl has more than one meaning. I was hoping you would figure it out❤❤
I see it as the girl is temptation, drugs etc, starting behind the scenes and then slowly coming into the foreground as she becomes the focus and they meet up till in the end it consumes him and they burn his world up. The dancing is the fun side of temptation making it more appealing.
I am loving your reactions! I think you will love his Trilogy: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, Drugs. Also, please don't pause in a guitar solo! You're doing great.
I know rock and metal is new to you, so here's the golden rule. Never stop or pause during a guitar solo🤭if you want to say something. It's all good. Just wait until it's over, then you can rewind. I'm glad you like alot of the bands and songs I grew up on❤❤ If you haven't heard or reacted to Nightwish I think you will love them. The song "Ghost Love Score" is Epic Live from Wacken, Germany open air festival 2013. I can't wait to see what's next🤘
He wrote the lyrics while being in prison, fighting to become clean of drugs (heroin I think) and looking at himself in the mirror. So he's literally talking about the drug/addiction in himself. But most of his lyrics leave room for interpretation, so it could also be about toxic love, I guess. The girl is the cover girl from the first album on which the original was. And I think she represents the drug or the addiction.
You have to check out Ronnie Radke roasting himself (about the "reverberate" in the original song). It's hilarious. You could do it as a little extra in another FiR reaction.
I was waiting for this. That Browns game was a killer huh? I never thought I'd be grateful for the Browns 💜🖤, you guys will be fine as long as the D stays healthy. Ronnie was on probation and went to fight a guy and they both brought people with them and one of the people pulled a gun and Ronnie's friend pulled one and killed the guy and hurt another. His friend was charged with murder but the prosecutor said it was self defense but Ronnie had brass knuckles which violated his probation and he served 2 1/2 years
I know the original meaning, but my interpretation of the video is that he can't get what he wants because, he can't understand why this "girl" (representing a happy warm environment)wants him there and most importantly, that he knows he'll destroy her. Just an interpretation of a crazy romantic way to see the video 😊🤓
Doing the reimagined ones Ronnie punctuates the lyrics that were dark to begin with. Turning your deepest sorrows, anxt or regrets into happy go lightly even though it fitted the time period, might just want more grown up person wanna do it over, do it right. Don't know, just my thoughts.
