I was gifted about 40 completed Rosary's and another 10 sets to make. I joined my parishes Rosary Society a few months ago and told them what I had and they were excited to make them. I ordered another set to make 50 along with the tools for about 20 people and tonight we will be working on them. I am not a great crafter, your directions were wonderful but I am having difficulty in connecting the cross. I know it will all work out fine tonight. THANK YOU so very much. God Bless
I found it very helpful to super glue the beading end of the cord about an inch and a half. Hang it to dry about 5 minutes and you now have a nice needle on the end to push the beads onto the cord. No more frayed ends
I also make rosarys also I don't need the tool to make rosarys I use my finger to make the knot to make the rosary how I do my knot I wrap my cord around my finger five to four times and put the cord in the whole and pull it slowly and twist it nicely and I hope you have a good day and God bless you
Much easier, quicker and neater to use a tool when using small diameter cord. You can make one out of an umbrella rib or by slicing the top off any round tube like a biro. I have used my fingers to make rosaries solely out of cord using 2mm twine but even they are easier using a plastic straw wth the top cut off it as a tool.
Thank you sooo much. God bless you. I always found trouble at the end with the loop for the crucifix. You made it simple enough to understand with the loop by itself. Thanks again.🙏
Just a tip. Instead of cutting the cords next to a knot where they can look untidy and fray, push the cords through the nearest bead, put on some tension and then cut the cord close to the bead. The cord ends will then be concealed within the bead. Ie after making the rosary centre knots put the first Our Father bead on both strings then tie your knot with the longest cord and push it up against the bead to stop it moving. Then pull on the short cord and cut it as close to the bead as possible and it will shrink back into the bead out of sight. Do the same with the Our Father bead. Once you have tied your knot slide it down the cord to give you room to put the Our Father bead over the end of the cord. It is a bit fiddly but worth the effort.
This is a superb video, very clear to see and understand what to do. Now I have a question: I would like to send instructions to someone who cannot use real beads. Jail doesn't even allow string, but string is easy to make. I've seen beads made with knots, obviously they won't move, but that's not a problem. The knots are as large as a bead would be, but I don't have the skill to make them look nice; I've seen balls, cubes, and cylinders. Mine come out like chewed gum. Any suggestions?
I have a rosary I received from a close friend and a couple of the beads snapped. Is there any real way I can replace them without cutting the cord and just tying it or getting a new cord.
Hi Ray in the UK I have looked on e bay and Amazon for the CORD TOOL that you demonstrated in your vuideo, and I cannot find one, any advise please ?...

whats the length of the rope you will cut out before beading

I like the funny way he says twine.
To make a knotting tool, pull the ink cartridge out of a plastic bic pen and then cut a groove at one end with a razor.
Thank you so much for the demonstration it was so easy to follow. God bless 🙏
