I have had someone approach a zebra crossing while on their phone. That synchrous mini roundabout scratched that itch I never knew I had. Well done to all involved. 😅 Just goes to show that if you go AROUND the roundabout, traffic can easily still flow.
8.00 The three cars meeting at the roundabout happened to me once many years ago. It was a mini roundabout with 3 roads meeting, I was one of 3 drivers who stopped all together, each attempting to give way to the right😂 Then we (each) took the “initiative” and all moved at once, meeting in the middle! All 3 of us male drivers were giggling with laughter-it was so funny. I can’t remember how we got ourselves out of it, but we were all on our way within a few seconds🤣🤣🤣
8:02 I have seen that once and have been a part of it once too. Both on the same roundabout near me. It's quite satisfying to see. Much better than the typical approach the roundabout at 30 and drive straight over it that is all too common.
At 1:51 - and in the previous off side/near/side video I commented how I prefer to be Infront of a right turning car! Unbelievable! It's good to see a high degree of the humour in this upload, it's justified!

6:37 see this all the time at Monford Bridge on the A5 commuting to and from work. When the road opens up and somebody follows the leader because a few cars have managed to overtake a lorry. It’s always so frustrating when just down the road is the roundabout to a dual carriageway so there’s no need to be so impatient and force everybody else to brake 😭😭
There was some debate about a near pass in a recent video being dangerous or not. The overtake in the first clip was a good example of really dangerous driving.
@@ashley_neal I would have done something slightly different to these cyclists. I would have indicated and check to see if I can move over to primary well before the turn right lane , then entered the turn right lane as soon as I could . If that makes sense
1:18 - Enjoyed the astonished reactions of the pedestrians too, ha! 10:30 - Your viewer and the Renault did really well at sorting the potential traffic flow problem it seems as well.
You've said about all three cars stopping for each other at a roundabout - I must say it Ashley it happens alot! Not all three going at the same time, but you see one of them getting very agrieved when they decide to go and someone else does too!
Regarding messy roundabouts, you should check out the Roundabout at the southern exit of the Rotherhithe Tunnel, on the corner of Southwark Park. I now work near it and I've honestly never heard so much horn use in my life. Much of it is caused by the same sort of driving you saw in this video. Yesterday, we saw people getting out of their cars for a shouting match and everything. The whole junction should be fully signal controlled, it's absolute chaos.
Didn't believe John would slip for a second! It is wild that these new headlights are allowed - driving a mini the amount of times at night you have to ease off or brake and guesstimate the road is horrifying. Additionally when someone is behind you at a junction and your mirrors are directing the white light into your eyes, you are waiting for accidents to occur as visibility is next to none - I have on occasion had to pull over and let cars go past knowing that there's junctions coming up that will just not be safe enough to enter.
The last clip - runaway trailer, you also want to keep back until the burst oil hoses stop straying everywhere. You don’t want that oil all over your windscreen.
At 6:18. Ah yes the tailgating and impatience in those 20 mph zones. I'm sure that many of us on this channel have had similar happen. And what is it about drivers afraid to even do the limit in front of a speed camera and feel it necessary to slow right down to well under the limit "just in case''? Yet just before and after the camera, they have no problem being over the limit.
Presumably they're already at 9 points for speeding and can't afford to get caught again. They could change their behaviour, of course, but why would anybody learn from past mistakes like that?
My personal bugbear is drivers who think they are speeding when they're not and they brake for a speed camera when they don't need to. A1020 in Beckton between the A406 and Beckton roundabout is a prime spot for this. There are speed cameras on both carriageways and it's a 40 mph limit. The number of idiots who were doing 40 mph next to me who suddenly slam on the brakes to go through the cameras at 30 mph while I sail through at 40 mph has to be seen to be believed.
Sidewalks (pavement) are not for vehicles over here across the pond, so that idiot in the truck would have gotten a ticket if the police saw that. Impatience on the roads is so dangerous.
Sometimes its not just the bad drivers out there that scare me the most, its the people that watch this channel for potentially years, do some absolute terrible driving and then still be completely oblivious to it and send it in to Ashley blaming someone else.
The car heading into the lamppost and the comment about other vulnerable road users, quite apt considering there appears to bear group of vulnerable users walking along the pavement
Had a small situation Friday at a regular junction where a car was on the inside lane at a junction, I was in the outside lane as I was turning right at the next roundabout. 10:20 the slurry tanker looks like a hydraulic failure- the spray you can see looks like a hose has ruptured which might have caused the hitch to unhitch. However it happened, well done for keeping out of the sh*t 😂
I think its more likely the tractor driver did not hitch correctly and (porbably intentionally) forgot you are legally required to have a secondary restraint on any towed trailer - including farming equipment - to prevent this exact scenario. As its unhitched the hydraulic hose connected to the trailer will have been broken.
@@DAFPvnkexactly what benefit would "probably intentionally" not hitching up correctly bring. Also single line hydraulic braking is still legal on agricultural trailers, in fact the slurry tanker in question is not classified as a trailer, it's an agricultural implement as it's got a dribble bar fitted.
@@DAFPvnk indeed. here, it is required to have safety chains secured, and on a trailer large enough to have its own brakes, there is to be a failsafe that applies the brakes should the trailer decide to wander off on its own.

The confusing indicator one reminds me of a Corsa I saw on the motorway yesterday. They were driving in the lefthand lane, then moved to lane two to overtake. Great. Except the second they pulled into lane two they indicated left, even though they hadn't passed the vehicle in front. The indicator stopped flashing while they were still in this lane, and they later moved over to lane one without signalling again. They did this multiple times. I've honestly never seen anything like it in my life. I just followed behind them for quite a few miles until they pulled off. Totally bizarre
I suspect your Corsa driver might be someone cancelling their right indicator a little too forcefully, and flicking the lever down far enough to trigger the non-latching left signal position. I had a Vauxhall (can't remember the model - Grandland, maybe?) on hire a little while ago which had an annoyingly sensitive indicator stalk. I know I unintentionally triggered an opposite direction indication more than once when trying to cancel a signal. In my case, of course, I quickly became aware of the problem, and did my best not to repeat it!
The plumes coming from the back of the tractor may have been hydraulic oil. Leaks can be under enough pressure to penetrant the skin leading to an amputation.

At around 2:18 re that you've had a couple of Toyota hybrid's over the years. In fact I seem to recall when I first joined your channel many years ago, you had a white Toyota Yaris hybrid as one of your driving school cars.
Re the loose door of the DX delivery lorry. You'd think that one of the very basic checks when driving that kind of vehicle is to check that the rear door is secure.
The door latches on those roller doors aren't great, they need to be pushed so far round to latch and can be tight against the rubber door seal. When opening the door dozens of times a shift it would be easy not to push it hard enough and have it work loose.
It's the DC-10 problem, you think the latch is secure, but it isn't. The only real way is with a padlock, which is never going to happen on short-stop deliveries. I've done the same when picking up a wagon from Lynx and driving a few hundred yards to our depot. Thankfully, nothing lost but I didn't half get a bollocking off the boss.
Every car I've driven in the past decade has entertained me with a sound and light show if any of the doors isn't properly closed. Do goods vehicles not similarly inform their drivers?
I have had that mini roundabout thing happen once before. It was exactly the same as in the vid if I was in the Yaris ie me and car to the left turning right and car to the right going straight. The only difference is there wasn't an initial stop, we just all determined we had enough time to go at a decent give way pace. I just watched the other cars go round as I was and it felt mad
That group of bikers could have been members of the same club or clubs taking part in a charity run or a toy run (same thing but for kids toys). Did you see the couple of motorcycles blocking the roundabout just beyond the traffic lights? Granted, no blues and twos on any of them, but this has been the norm for bike clubs undertaking such events .
When we do runs like that we get permission for our marshalls to help control the flow without breaking any laws. It's always done safely and it's always done in high visibility vests with the club name and logo on the back. These lot just look like the local mc doing whatever they want.
Interesting comment and observation regarding hybrid / electric vehicles and the danger of high voltages after an impact. I'm happy to stick with my petrol engined car for as long as possible, though I realise they can catch fire.
I'm not a fan of all-electric vehicles, but hybrids are a good compromise solution. You still get the higher fuel mileage compared to an ICE, but you don't have the range anxiety of EVs.
the wayward slurry trailer brings to mind a story of a driver of an open roofed car who was a known nuisance in the area of a dairy. until one day he struck the rear of the dairy's slurry truck, breaking off the rear dump valve and filling his car.
At around 6:44 re the Audi driver behind blaming the cammer for thier own bad planning. Totally agree it was really all on the Audi and not our cammer. One additional observation: I already "clocked" the Audi driver as a bad planner at around 6:44 by the late manoeuvre into lane 2 and even that was after observing our cammer make the same manoeuvre. When you are selecting "the lane of least resistance" you want to be doing it early and gradually, not as a last minute manoeuvre.
It was good awareness from the lorry driver as well to not just move central as the road narrowed. When the car joined me in lane 2 I was aware they would probably try and tag along and was not disappointed. That 3-at-a-time emerge on the roundabout was incredibly satisfying. Roundabouts are effective!
I have had someone approach a zebra crossing while on their phone. I slowed in case they suddenly walked out which the didn’t but at the point of committing from myself the driver behind decided to beep his horn at which point the pedestrian started to cross
Never wait at a zebra crossing if you are not going to cross and never beep your horn, even at other road users, around pedestrians and crossings. All it does is create a more dangerous situation than it needs to be
I will always give a horn warning if another road users seems unaware of my presence - that is what the audible warning instrument is for .
@@derekheeps1244 I will as well when needed but never if it will cause confusion and danger
@@derekheeps1244 The issue here though is you have two road users which doing this pressures them to move. That's very risky behaviour and frankly shows a startling lack of situational awareness.
A little note about the tractor incident. It was wise of the cammer to stop. It looks like the tractor had ruptured the hydraulic hoses and was spraying oil all over the road, and potentially any passing vehicle. You definately don't want that over your tyres and windscreen.
That mini roundabout clip was beautiful. More people need to see it to learn how it's done.😊
Probably one the best if not the best mini roundabout clips we will find, not just on this channel, but on RUclips. Had the potential for conflict and road rage, but all 3 drivers observed and worked with / around each and went round the roundabout. Maybe deserved to be on a nice driving episode rather than driving fail
Three going round that mini roundabout in perfect synchronisation. Brilliant!
When I was a learner I had someone overtake me just before a dip in the road and a 40mph speed camera. Watching them soil their trousers and drop the anchors gave me a good laugh.
Better than watching them soil their anchors and drop their trousers.
That example of the three cars at the roundabout was *chefs kiss.
I got to say the mini roundabout where they all go at the same time worked.
I got that completely wrong at 2:00, I thought it was going to be a taxi vs a stubborn BMW driver
Who thought the words “that was a good spot and save by the blue BMW driver” and “the private hire…also fixed it well” in the same video clip? 😁
Feel privileged when I recognise a clip from you ,Bob. 😊
(Not this one, obviously, but you and I know which one).
Me too!
@@thomaselliot2257 I feel relieved when Ashley doesn’t criticise what I did but at the same time would take notes of any criticism for future improvements
Especially when it was the BMW driver in the wrong ( trying to exit from the right hand lane when the VW was continuing ahead in a lane clearly marked for straight ahead ) .

4:35 - This driver should lose their license and never get it back. Most of these clips are due to incompetence, which is something that can be corrected, but that mercedes driver clearly doesn't have a shred of concern for anybody else other than themselves and somebody with such a total inability to care should never be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle again.
I'm totally with you that these type of actions are much worse than simple mistakes, although both can be deadly.
I've seen a BMW pull the same trick in a housing estate. God forbid that some child stepped out of a gateway....
There are even clips out there of people doing this to get around junctions. It's the worst of the worst. I would have no issue banning these types of driver for life.
@@olirc I've seen that in real life, where a driver turning left out of a side road onto a London high street cut the corner across a busy pavement to get round queueing traffic. It was over thirty years ago, so this isn't a new phenomenon.
As a bus driver, I will sit behind a cyclist all day if I have to, rather than do a dangerous overtake. That bus driver was terrible and I hope their company took some sort of action. Your videos are a valuable tool for me, and I am always trying to make myself a better driver, especially with my bus driving, by following your example. So thank you.
That synchrous mini roundabout scratched that itch I never knew I had. Well done to all involved. 😅
Just goes to show that if you go AROUND the roundabout, traffic can easily still flow.
"Keep death off the roads - drive on the pavement".
That mini roundabout at the end was like a ballroom dance! So beautiful
8.00 The three cars meeting at the roundabout happened to me once many years ago.
It was a mini roundabout with 3 roads meeting, I was one of 3 drivers who stopped all together, each attempting to give way to the right😂
Then we (each) took the “initiative” and all moved at once, meeting in the middle!
Regarding the 3-way at a mini-roundabout, I've not only witnessed it, but I was part of the proceedings. It was one of the most satisfying things ever.
5:02 they have one of these advertisement boards on the M602. Crazy how money is more important than safety!
10:13 When the sh** doesn't hit the van? ;)
7:46 Yes i've seen and been part of it, i call it a standoff. "Who gives way to who?" I think it's in these scenarios that a person should just start creeping forward and if all is well, just drive. Others will follow suit but i've never seen all go at once like in this clip which weirdly kept good flow.
This is an everyday feature of four-way stops in the US. A little visual communication usually solves it quickly.

@4:10 approx - "It fell off the back of a Lorry" is the saying that springs to mind here.
Jon's driving..... 😅😅😅 was a bit naughty but I think that he might forgive this one lol.
The final clip...... If you asked us to post a caption then it'll probably be "Oh 💩" rofl.
Probably the most amusing of these "Fail" uploads that I've seen in a long time.
At 1:56, how could anyone miss such a wide entrance to a road junction! The proverbial "Ay up, yer could get a bus through there!" comes to mind.
target fixation
Probably the funniest fail video for a long time. The three going round the roundabout has never happened to me.
The end clip is some proper Final Destination scene. That driver had seen them all and wasn't about to be drowned in slurry
There was some debate about a near pass in a recent video being dangerous or not. The overtake in the first clip was a good example of really dangerous driving.
Potentially, yes. Again the cyclists had this one under control thankfully.
The reaction time in 10:04 is truly awe-inspiring
The last clip - runaway trailer,
you also want to keep back until the burst oil hoses stop straying everywhere.
You don’t want that oil all over your windscreen.
That mini roundabout clip def hit the spot
The mini roundabout was first class and in the end it all worked in perfect unison.
That mini roundabout was like synchronised swimming
Sidewalks (pavement) are not for vehicles over here across the pond, so that idiot in the truck would have gotten a ticket if the police saw that. Impatience on the roads is so dangerous.
Sometimes its not just the bad drivers out there that scare me the most, its the people that watch this channel for potentially years, do some absolute terrible driving and then still be completely oblivious to it and send it in to Ashley blaming someone else.
yep, it's like that randomly cited (not sure if real) statistic of >50% of drivers rating them as above average
The car heading into the lamppost and the comment about other vulnerable road users, quite apt considering there appears to bear group of vulnerable users walking along the pavement
7:37 Brakes first, horn second.
7:58 Poetry in motion.
that mini roundabout synchronisation was so satisfying!
Had a small situation Friday at a regular junction where a car was on the inside lane at a junction, I was in the outside lane as I was turning right at the next roundabout. As we took off he got slightly in front and I said to my wife "A-hah! Four rings!" so I slowed and sure enough he pulled over straight in front of me. It was a 24 reg and I wonder if it will make 25.
Just taking a moment for the 3 in one roundabout.
Best dance sequence of the year!
The woman at the crossing smoking a ciggy was absolutely ‘pissed as a fart’….😂😂😂🎉❤
Re the very first clip. How embarrassing to be "outdriven" by a Mercedes SUV. There again, note to self: I must not stereotype!
Why not? It helps when on the road!
as a truck driver in the Netherlands i see more people in Mercedes cars behaving like normal people than i see Audi drivers behaving like normal people.
I cant even remember the last time i came across an Audi driver that behaved like a normal person.
When ever i see the 4 zeroes on the Bonnet or the trunk, i already know what is gonna happen.
And knowing this, i would never want to be found dead inside one.

10:20 the slurry tanker looks like a hydraulic failure- the spray you can see looks like a hose has ruptured which might have caused the hitch to unhitch. However it happened, well done for keeping out of the sh*t 😂
Not securely hitched or the bounce broke it and it then ripped the hydralic lines as it rolled away.
@@Bin-The-L-Plates looked like it had a wheeled tongue jack, and I can say from experience with someone else's decisions, not having it properly secured can result in it lifting a trailer off a hitch.
Hopefully the sender of the first clip doesn't unsubscribe but sticks around and learns from any future clips. Every day's a school day, sometimes it's detention...... well it was for the first clip.
A nice analogy.
the mini roundabout was so satisfying
I know you love Viofo Ashley, but whatever camera is used at 5:00 is amazing clarity. Really love it
It is a Nextbase 622, but it is also the lighting that makes it look so good.👍
8:00 satisfaction level 10/10 would play again
I had some runaway slurry earlier, it must have been something I ate.

Farmer was lucky the hydraulic fluid spraying out of his tractor didn't catch light.
Had 3 car and 1 bike standoff at the same roundabout twice last month!
1:07 I'm more curious if anyone got the manufacturer wrong. At least it wasn't me. It's 11 years since I got rid of mine 😅
1:15 - Always an Audi, but I wonder sometimes if these drivers have their own version of the Highway Code Audi edition.
They are probably used to doing 50+ despite the road being 40mph
Oh well, no collision and no doubt no lesson learned from the Audi driver as it was clearly my fault for going the posted speed limit 🤣
@bazzacuda_ Quite tame for the usual standard around there 🤣
@@smilerbob Oh that was one of yours Bob. You handled that well and it was intelligent driving on your part by using the lane of least resistance. I would have likely done the same.
