Part 1 (Genesis 1:1-13)
בראשית ברא אלוהים את השמים ואת הארץ
B'reishit bara Elohim et hashamayim v'et haaretz.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Sa sinugdanan, gihimo sa Diyos ang langit ug ang yuta.
והארץ הייתה תוהו ובוהו וחושך על פני תהום ורוח אלוהים מרחפת על פני המים
V'haaretz hayetah tohu vavohu, v'choshech al pnei tehom, v'ruach Elohim merachefet al pnei hamayim.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Ug ang yuta walay porma, ug walay sulod; ug ang kangitngit anaa ibabaw sa kalaliman. Ug ang Espiritu sa Diyos naglihok ibabaw sa mga tubig.
ויאמר אלוהים יהי אור ויהי אור
Vayomer Elohim yehi or vayehi or.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ug miingon ang Diyos, Magkabut ang kahayag: ug ang kahayag nahimo.
וירא אלוהים את האור כי טוב ויבדל אלוהים בין האור ובין החשך
Vayare Elohim et ha'or ki tov, vayavdel Elohim bein ha'or u'vein hachoshech.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Ug nakita sa Diyos ang kahayag, nga maayo: ug gibahin sa Diyos ang kahayag gikan sa kangitngit.
ויקרא אלוהים לאור יום ולחשך קרא לילה ויהי ערב ויהי בוקר יום אחד
Vayikra Elohim la'or yom, u'lechoshech kara layla, vayehi erev vayehi boker yom echad.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Ug gitawag sa Diyos ang kahayag nga Adlaw, ug ang kangitngit gitawag nga Gabii. Ug ang gabii ug ang buntag mao ang unang adlaw.
