Moving to Aluminum is a HUGE deal for the industry. The reason they can create these new elements is enabled by the weight reduction of the car. You try and pull this type of layout with a welded chassis and it would pull itself apart over time.
Just hope no one brings easily accessible gallium to sabotage the trains. Just a few quarter size pieces could eat through an entire bar, or whatever. Look up different videos of gallium and aluminum reactions.

@@exiledrabbit i mean, you've got a point there. But i'm not taking into account how innovative it is. I'm just saying the single rail was a very unique idea at the time it came out. Especially with the layout RMC came out with.
Depending on the velocity during a loop, the riders would twist and slosh around like water in a bucket. I would imagine that's where they're coming with it.
@@tchaffman I guess it would feel like the non-inverting pretzel loops that Premiere has. But instead of having the track twist, the seats do it. Thinking of a layout like Full Throttle, instead of hang time at the top of the loop, you'd roll over and swing a bit. The way down would be a lot different if it isn't a controlled roll. I guess you'd dive face first at the ground before twisting around near the bottom.
@@martintucson7244 Six Flags as a chain is running out of money. They're now only adding a few coasters a year. I doubt Magic Mountain will ever add a new coaster after wonder woman, not only because of money, but also because of space, and its overall world record of having the most coasters
The potential layouts for this should be amazing. From family layouts to extreme stunts. Could end up being S&S's raptor track. My first idea is that this could be the renaissance for Arrow's suspended coasters.
We need one of these parks to grow some balls and buy one of these maybe SFNE when Goliath gets yanked and the little boomerang, it will look great next to Wicked Cyclone
This is my home park and I would absolutely LOVE something like this. Superman, Batman, Wicked Cyclone, and the Joker are great but something like this would be a show stopper for a park like SFNE
I really hope Lagoon gets one of these. It's compact enough that it would easily fit in the park, and a third modern coaster along with Cannibal and Wicked would make it a legit park. Plus S&S in based just about an hour up the road from Lagoon, so it makes sense.
My inner critic: Let's weld a twisting piece of roller coaster track only to have the train held at the same point in space throughout the element. It feels like its solving for a problem that doesn't exist. My inner kid: This thing looks awesome.
Am I the only one who is really surprised that there isn't a single confirmed installation of this coming anywhere on Earth? I don't get it. It only takes a few seconds of watching the example track to know how amazing the sensations and whip on this coaster will be. This would be my signature attraction if I was opening a new park, no doubt.
What in the hell did I just watch?! My mind is BEYOND blown by how incredibly bizarre and mindbending this Axis coaster looks! Cedar Point 2022??? I know its unlikely, but... they just took out wicked twister, and antique cars... and the layout could fit in the small space... And CP has a thing for Firsts. I swear if CP gets the first one id be thrilled!
I mean many real firms use NL2 for stuff like visualising their rides, showing off proposed layouts. Heck IIRC there's even one of Zierer's family coaster models which was designed using NL2.

I'd love to see this on that side of the park to add a little balance to landscape of the park. Plus if they're really trying to get wild with it, they can make a coaster like this incorporate the beach and the lake by swinging a section over the fence.
So its controlled electronically? By a battery? I'm confused how this would be practical from a maintenance stand point. Also if it malfunctions and holds a rider in the wrong position then the forces on a specific element could be unsafe..
If that IAAPA display car isn’t straight up pandering to BGW as a Big Bad Wolf replacement I don’t know what is. Looks like a perfect fit for Drachen Fire’s old station with an inverting drop down to the river, to hell with “Verboring”
1 interesting thing I found out is on the stats, it says it only pulls 2.8 Gs which seems kinda low for a thrill coaster. Maybe that moment could be when the seats are upside down and the riders would experience -2.8 Gs which is very strong ejector airtime. Idk, just a thought.
@@maxhagenauer24 due to its free spinning design, strong Gs in any direction would almost always cause rotation which cancels most of the the ejector sensation.
Yes, the seats are is heavier at the bottom so they will spin in the direction of the force. This is the whole concept of this ride and enables them to make it invert whenever they want. Also, -2.8 g is simply too much and you won't find that on any legit coaster now or in the future. Around -2 is the absolute limit of what is safely and more or less comfortably doable in extreme cases, but in general -1.3-1.5 is the maximum that rides are designed to deliver.
Europe seems possible. The rendering suggest 100-110 ft height. Tripsdrill and Slagharen built a Gerstlauer Infinity. There are a lot of "class b" parks that are keen to step up their game. Maybe Parque de Atracciones de Madrid....
