I just got several cling mount stamps today and didn't know who to put the stickers on. I searched and found you video, thank you very much, now I understand.
Like your idea to use some of the extra sticky cling stuff to place on older clear mount stamps to help them cling better! Thanks for your video demonstration!!
Thanks for the info. I added repositionable glue to the back of my old rubber stamps and they cling very well. Little to say, I will never buy rubber stamps of any sort again. I just carefor them.
Thank you for stepping up and taking credit! I watch so many videos and read so many things, it is hard to keep track of where I hear what, and I am happy to give credit and have people visit other stampers sites too! We are all in this together! Thanks again for all the insight! XX
Rach, I have found that if you take the label off the carrier sheet, take off one half of the backing and position that side on the stamp, that way you have a non-sticky side to hold while you are attaching the label. You are putting the label on in full view and not trying to attach the label to the space blind -
@@rebeccapfeifer2376 Not really. The directions say to uncover the label and lay the red rubber stamp ON the label. I'm saying REMOVE the label from the carrier sheet. Take one side of the paper backing off and hold the side with the paper backing and lay the "uncovered" sticky side on the grey foam. Since it is foam side up you can see where you are placing the label instead of trying to place the stamp ON the label. Lisa Curcio has a 3 minute video demonstrating what I am trying to describe. She isn't talking about the new Cling, but the label would adhere the same. It is: "Best Tip for Adding Clear Sticker to Rubber Stamps. October 2, 2018
That's just what I did tonight! Kept all the stamps connected (did not separate them) and the did the techique you suggested and applied the clear label onto the back side of the stamps and then separated the stamps from the rubber sheet. Worked great and all the clear labels were on perfectly! With my older rubber stamps, I used atouch of a product like chap stick to make them stick to the clear blocks...cleans off great and does a great job of holding the clear-mount stamps to the block! Thanks for your video demonstration!!
Id like to know WHY Stampin Up is still dinkin' around with the cling mount stamps. There are so many other companies out there who have really good quality photopolymer stamps. This is why I stopped buying so many SU stamps.
I was just wondering if SU would sell sheets of the new vinyl to use on the older stamp sets - then I thought about using the excess in the new sets. (Great minds) I also tried using a 1/2" hole punch - worked great!
One really frustrating thing is that if you listen to ten SU demonstrator videos about these new stamps, they all have a different way you're supposed to do them! SU needs to get all their demos. on the same page when introducing a new product. I'm with Molly who posted below - I'm done, done, done! If I can't find it in the clear stamps, I'm not buying it.
I hear you, but we don’t get any “advice” how to do things, we all figure it out on our own, hence the 8000 ways to do it. Sorry you’re frustrated, I am as well
Hi Rachel, We got home and couldn’t get them off of the block lol 😂. So we did the “ After you put the label on your stamp, you tap the sticky label to your jeans only one time and that gave us the perfect cling!” Good video and remember no alcohol near the new sticky labels❣️❣️❣️
I am a new demonstrator, after trying my stamps today, I will not be paying high prices for these type stamps...Why cant they make the clear stamps that are sticky like most companies use! No way to sell these to customers as these are inferior products......I wasted my money buying the stamp sets...they wont stick to the blocks without putting these crazy backs on them....I couldnt figure out the instructions as they made no sense, I am really upset with this company
Why does Stamping Up have the buyer put the backing on. It is a messy difficult process and for that reason I’ll not be buying any more stamps or dies from this company. And I bet they could care less.
100% agree. Trying to save a penny while charging the customer more. Have the manufacturer do this. Customers should not have to do this via trial and error. I’ll pay the extra penny.
Sad they did away with the wood. I think that cheapens the brand....I was a demonstrator for years and I never put my stickers on my clear or wood stamps. Good tips though...
Rachel, this is the best way to adhere the clings. I’m so glad I found you. Thanks so much.
You’re so welcome! Glad I could help, I think this video is so popular for that very reason:)

you're certainly welcome!
I received my first cling mount set today. I'm so glad I found your tutorial before trying to put the stickers on.
I am glad it helped you! That is why I do these:)
I wish I would have thought to watch this video first! Although I managed to do the mounts correctly!
I’m glad you did ok! Practice helps too 🤣
THANK YOU! I am new to all this and would have never figured this out on my own!
Glad I could help!
Re watching again to mount my new stamps
just take your time till you get the hang of it!

I've used repositionable adhesive or tape on existing rubber stamps with labels that dont want to stick. Works well...
I use a small dab of chap-stick on it and it clings great, and easy to remove the residue chapstick when you’re done.
What brand repositionable adhesive? Thanks
Thanks for sharing my idea Rach! I'm pleased you're inspired! xxx

Cheryl Roosma that is a super tip to add! Thank you
Thanks, very informative
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
whys it so complicated, it should come with the backing on already like all the other stamp companies
I dont have a good answer for that either...I'm sorry
Oh. That's too bad. Sorry they made this change. No more SU stamp sets for me.
Molly sorry to hear that. Maybe give one set a try, you may just love it

How long will it stay sticky?
Shawna Jensen I think it should permanently

I can understand your point about have them pre done. I do think they’ve at least improved that the stamps stay on the blocks now

I started this video because it said how to use cling stamps..... Get to already...
Are you aware there is a fast forward button?
